What's Spinning Tonight?

A realy nice compilation of her work. I am a little surpised to read that she wasn't popular with everyone.

HUGE fan of Jacqueline Dupre here.. have posted quite a few times about her. For many likely one of the best ever!!! her rendition of Elgar Cello concierto is considered as "Defintive" even by Elgar himself ...

Now what I am listening tonight and I am also a fan of this Artist: Pat Metheny. Can move from sublime to pabllum from analbum to another, the good (IMHO of course) I listen , the bad well I simply don't play .. but have managed to buy every album he puts out or almost all ...

The Faces: First Step and A Nod is as good as a wink. Timeless. Reminds me of a weekend in Cortland NY when i bought Jeff Becks Truth/Beck-Ola

I lke the Faces, too. I seem to recall that this post referred to a Lost Weekend, but I may be imagining things in my old age...

I think that your description in another post got me interested, in addition to another fella who moderates.

This band ROCKS! The song "Private Investigations" kinda reminds me of the song that played on Top Gun when Goose died. Anyhoo, off to listen...:)

Hello, Bob. Without looking up the exact price, I think it was right at $67 and change delivered to my door off Amazon. I ordered it about three weeks ago and it just got in today. Great music!

-----IMO this is a rip-off! ...But it ain't my money. :D

I just picked up 5 sealed LPs tonight from my local record store:
Ray Charles-WHAT'D I SAY
Dire Straits -COMMUNIQUE masterd by Bernie Grundman from the orginal analog tapes, pressed and plated at Pallas
John Coltrane-GIANT STEPS mastered by Kevin Gray
The Cars-THE CARS Mo-Fi remasterd serial number 002425
Ringo Star-Y NOT limited edition 180 gram vinyl

Ever since Ringo and Joe Walsh became brothers-in-law by marrying sisters, Ringo has played on Joe's new album and Joe returned the favor and played on Ringo's new album. Paul McCartney plays on two songs on Ringo's album too. And now that Joe is "in the family" so to speak, he has played guitar for McCartney as well.
