I suspect what Ked heard on the Blackstone was integral to the tt, not anything inconsistent w the install.
The irony is that it appears the Blackstone is very transparent, quiet and detailed, so any coloration in the sound is more likely to be highlighted.
Now whether this like the cold, grey tint that some DDs impart, or more of a warmer resonance band enhancement that I hear from some system tweaks, only he can judge.
But if it really was noticeable, and consistently across songs and albums, this is a problem.
At least when Ked gets a second chance to hear the Blackstone again, maybe in a totally different system, he’ll deliberately listen out for this character, and see if it remains consistent.
