I had a mixed experience with Analogphonic too, especially on their deutsche grammophone reissues, flat sounding and compromised.

For the recommendations I did above please keep in mind that I do not have originals for these recordings. I only had some of them on digital and one on a weak reissue. The thing is, these sound good enough for me to enjoy without questioning if I am missing the magic of these performances. I had a great night listening to them.

Thanks for some confirmation - the complete Bernstein Mahler reissue they did was DG. I found the vinyl was v-e-r-y noisey. When I looked at them, the label was somewhat obscure and the principals hard to discover. I wrote to the one person I thought associated - he replied about 3 months later basically saying too bad so sad. Led to believe country of origin was S.Korea.

-Seems travel to Thailand though is about to get damn difficult for tourists and expats--I have friends been working there for years whom now have to report to Police as told--show passports to move around the city --their landlord was fined 1500 Baht yesterday for not advising the cops they had another roommate staying--WTF?--there are other expats they know getting billed for not reporting to Police and producing their passports upon Policee stopping them into the Street. Also they told me Hotels now have to report all tourist movements or risk being fined??

My Friends working the medical profession there( Expats) and they are now being harassed in the street by police for ID going to work!--for no reason evidently many Professional Expats are making plans to leave and the tourist operators are watching these new regulations with furrowed brow.

What has happened to the wonderful peaceful serene Thailand ?--sad if above true.

Sorry for the rant--but your lovely pics as aTourist --made me feel for us if we wish to visit your country again.

I feel bad hearing this.Thailand is a very tourist friendly country. Even when we had people demonstration like HK tourists were treated very well with respect by the demonstrators. It has been my experience seeing foreigners, expats, tourists get more privilege over the Thai national themself.

We are friendly people with hospotality to give. I apologize for the misbehave you and your freiends had to experienced.

I am surprised to hear this about Thailand. I have 3 expat friends living there and I have visited once before myself. All experiences are positive on our side.

Me and my wife are planning a trip on January to Thailand so I have talked to them recently. They were very happy living there, especially the couple who live in Chang Mai. They could not stop talking about the hospitality of the locals. Maybe big cities are different nowadays because of political stress etc.

I have been to Bangkok and had positive experience there too as well as some of the islands. This time I will be traveling with my wife and we plan to visit those parts like Chang Mai as well. Maybe your friends were unlucky and that attitude is not an evidence of change in that direction.

Many countries require hotels to report to local police station the list of guests they have for the night. China, Thailand, Japan and many more have this requirement.

Hong Kong does not have this requirement, despite of all the recent unrest. So don't get put off by it.

I put the Daiza's under my amps and piano becomes more vibrant, the housing more visualized, cleaner notes yet no loss in nuances. More sense on ambient. Gian sent me video of his system on Jazz at Pawn Shop once. I thought his CH base system beat the heck out of my system in term of ambient cue. Now mine is close but still behind him on this regard. I do believe mine sounds more lively than his though . On drums the impact is more to the stomach.Bass strings more physical. No homogeneity. Frankly I don't think the Daizas give me anything. They just let the equipment shows its intrinsic dna. Everything was always there in the Lamm's, but it was robbed by the platform I was using.
