I wouldn't mind hearing his system, but he would have to promise to padlock the trapdoor handle to the alligator pit.
You're very welcome Carl. At no personal risk.

Send food - I'm fed up with Lamb and Apple Pie
I believe that’s the title of the next chapter... Silence of the Lambs... WITH apple pie!

Btw uhmmmm, has Marc mentioned anything about THE lotion yet? Not really a good idea to put it on btw... just sayin

I cannot disagree with you, Plasmod. The dedicated room is fun, and tbh, it's a relationship saver Lol. Acoustics is an area that I never really paid attention to before. In this room they've been the critical area to cement my previous sound and open up new improvements in SQ.

Like Ron's thread on castle search, there are some downsides to running a chapel.

Simply amazing stuff spirit, hopefully one of these days I can have the same. Lol now I will have to be content with getting my 5yos not to poke the tweeter on my magicos. What's that daddy.. poke poke. Another advantage of having a dedicated room

Aha Plasmod, I knew there was a reason not to have kids. The dedicated room has been such a step up in acoustics and SQ, reflected in what my most recent guest reported.

Tbh, I was a little nervous ahead of his visit, most people leave liking aspects of my sound but a mixed impression at best.

Dryzling/Darren complimented things that are more the preserve of pricier systems with ostensibly more specialist gear, ie vocal texture and presence, strong imaging and treble energy/definition. And confirmation I'm evolving in the right direction.

Next is my new tt motor/speed controller, LPS to this, rewired/terminated tonearm wire, and a couple of Prince Sablon/Bocchinos upgrades to my monoblocks Elites pwr cords.

Quite right Marc, in that situation if i do prefer an efficient speaker ( a louder speaker) and an absolute low noise level system:po_O. I am not surprised with the compliment, despite my more esoteric stuff i am sure yours have a greater atmosphere than mine - it's a square room tooo_Oo_O

A fan of Mark's cables i see - they are amazing in every way i find too:) do mark's cables work for components as well as for amps? Generally amps need a different type of cables to the front end components but mark's seem to be quite versatile from my research

hello Spirit, How did you get on with the roadrunner? Is your table speed within?
Roadrunner is installed, but just real time speed readout, no motor controller yet to connect it to...that's on order soon.
I'm reading about +/-0.3% variation from 33.333, the more accurate/least drift once my current stock motor has been turning for an hour.

LOL! I remember on of the guys in BAAS with big Rockport speakers. He said he had one of those rope harnesses for his toddler to keep his perimeter restrained, but the kid managed to stretch it beyond and ruin one of the drivers anyway. He had to have the driver replaced.

Ian, Mark's cables are truly fantastic. I'm on my second loom, now final round of upgrading Elites pwr cords w Bocchinos connectors (up your alley being Aussie-sourced I believe).

My main issues are noise in my system highlighted a little by running 101dB/1m Zus. My Nats are by no means the quietest amps, but the noise is only gonna be too intrusive for those w bat hearing...and I'm not inviting Bruce Wayne over anytime soon.

I'd have replaced the kid.
