This looks like the steel model and not Ti?
Good catch- not only that, this bike was stolen off my car a year ago!

I replaced it with the Ti frame which is set up the same way (I did the belt drive and Rohloff through Cycle Monkey; this was in early Spring and I found them unresponsive... I had sent the frame to them for modification in December. It was scary, but I finally did get it all put together.).

Then, amazingly, my Plus turned up on OfferUp. I'd listed it as stolen on bikeindex.org, and a spotter from there contacted me through Wendel at Magnaplanar! Apparently his son is into bikes. Later that day I had the bike back in my possession! - and the spotter told me that he sprayed down the sellers with mace after they threatened him upon hearing he was confiscating the bike.... I don't have any photos of the Ti version in full race dress at this point but other than the color looks exactly the same. I still have the bags as they were not stolen, but I'm trying to see if I can outfit it with a handlebar roll and a seatpack. But with all the Merino wool I tend to bring with me (long johns and long sleeve shirt) its been a struggle to make it work without the Tubus rack.

My bike.....and source of sanity this lockdown. I’ll see how long I ride it this fall. Cannondale hybrid from 2013. Nothing fancy but does the job! Completely happy with it! Changed from gator skin slips to knobbier specialized tires. Great help in gravelly trails.

Pretty amazing story. I am very happy you got your bike back Ralph. I know what it must mean to you!

A little off topic, but thanks for the reference on bikeindex.org for bike registrations. My Richard Sachs was built by one of the all-time great steel frame builders, and is not replaceable. I'll register it.

Hi Ralph, seat post is Eriksen Ti layback as recommended by Jeff.

Wheel and tires in the photo are Velociity Dually with Schwalbe Super Moto which are a semi slick i use for road riding, i also have another set of wheels Fat front Surly 3.8" and Maxis Ardent for off road riding.

Let's get some action in to this thread and keep those chains tight

My other [vintage] ride from those days of activity, 26" FS MTB. Did build up this one from parts, bits and pieces, including the wheels. Still does the job.

Oh yes! Another Jones Ti !! I'm waiting patiently for these to be restocked. I'm riding one of the pre-built diamond frame bikes. Love it.

As others have already mentioned, cycling helps my mind as well as my body. I don't ride as far, or as aggressively as I once did. My body is broken from overuse...but I still try to ride for an hour or so every other day.

Great looking bike
Thank you. It's a custom steel frame fabricated by Kelly Bedford from a fitting done by Steven Carre at Bike Effect, Santa Monica, CA.
