It all depends on what financial backing ARC has now (which we do not know). Sometimes it is beneficial to have a partner with deep pockets behind you.
Interesting news. Sonus Faber has a rich history and a marketable name.
Curious if you guys think any big guys would be interested in audiophile niche brands like Wilson, Magico, Dynaudio, etc. , (when wilson the junior, wolf, etc., are ready to hang up the gloves)?

Magico will probably sell out to Morel. I read that Morel makes Magico's drivers. Dynaudio is owned by the Chinese, and Wilson, who knows. Or sadly some of these may just fade away.
Be concerned for Sound United, because I think that the fate of some of their brands. Just disappear.
Why does everyone think Bose bought Mac to tear it down? Bose brought Mac so they have a luxury brand to pimp audio OEM packages to Luxury car makers that no longer saw Bose brand fitting their needs.
Sonus Faber is just along for the ride. Bose will no doubt use them in engineering the new rumored Bose 901, yes its rumored to be making a comeback. I imagine it with Sonus Faber drivers and Mac amplification inside." Powered by McIntosh".

One more thing about Bose buying Mac. They both share the same sound signature. Bose has stated many times they like the warm midrange sound. When you think of McIntosh or Sonus Faber, one thinks of a somewhat warm signature. So Bose bought into the high-end with a company that shares the same sound line of thought.
Now Bose OEM Engineers can use McIntosh/ Sonus Fabers speakers as their baseline instead of Genelec and Crown (Bose mentioned this in a former article now removed)
For automotive sound system engineer like Mark Armitage, head of the acoustical engineering team at our facility in Michigan, a playlist is more than just big beats and rocking out. To test and tune our sound systems, we need songs that represent a variety of music genres and recording...

From talking to a high-end store in Boston, Bose engineers in the past bought Quads for personal, comparison and R&D testing.
