Chasing The Dragon New Direct Cut LP & Binaural LP / CD

Hello everyone,

My name is Mike Valentine of Chasing The Dragon. We are a small record label specialising in releasing direct cut records. Recently at Air Studios here in London, we recorded the National Symphony Orchestra with mezzo soprano Rosie Middleton performing ESPANA - A Tribute To Spain for our new direct cut release. During the recording I used our new Binaural Head to capture the performance for headphone users. I have placed on our website, www.chasingthedragon.co.uk a free mp3 file where you can listen to the effect of the Binaural Head in front of the orchestra versus an mp3 of the normal stereo recording. I think the effect is so wonderful that I have decided to release a whole range of binaural recordings both as download CD and LP. In fact we are currently planning to create a direct cut recording with the lathe fed directly from the Binaural Head placed in front of the musicians. Maybe a world first!

Although we love analog, we have recently heard of this new fangled thing called Digital! We have therefor decided to create a hi-res downloads page on our website. All the downloads that are available were created in their native resolution, up to and including double DSD.

I hope you don't mind my post I am just so excited by the results of using our Binaural Head, that I wanted to share it with you.

Fantastic! Have emailed Francoise at your office and asked about ordering 2 CDs...Ella and Big Band, plus getting the program/papers for Vivaldi so i can print them out if i download the digital file and burn it onto CD and store CD and the papers/program/coverpage in a jewel case.

Just a quick update, this is the artwork for 2 of our Chasing The Dragon Copy Master Tapes that are coming soon. One of the tapes will be Binaural, which also sounds great on loudspeakers!
