I will have the opportunity to hear the XVX at the Midwest Debut event at Paragon on 7-November. That will be the third of this years Fall Music Series.

It could be that the WAMM is fast approaching the end of its limited production run and so time for a new flagship to carry the torch.

I doubt the WAMM will be getting anywhere near 70 units made. The manufacturing process takes a few months. The challenge will be to shorten the XVX manufacturing time, considering it is almost as complex as the WAMM.

My point was that the description of the speaker seemed to transcend what we read about its big brother when they released it.

Mike its 329K I doubt that anyone needs to scale UP to mass produce products in that price range. If you really want items like this you have to know that you may have to wait a bit

i'm not suggesting mass produced. but i think that Wilson did their homework on the price point, is offering a good price/value (established by the WAMM) and that retail price will allow for big trade-in allowances. actual transaction prices will find their own level.

my guess is that with the XLF long in the tooth, there will be plenty of energy built up for trade-ups. i think this product will stir lots of action. the marketplace has plenty of capacity right now for the right exciting product.

Steve, even if it is significantly better than the XLF or X2's there is no way I will fork out the upcharge for this new speaker. Whether I can afford them doesn't even come in to play. There has to be a cost/benefit case for me. There must be a market out there for these speakers, I just know it is pretty small with too many manufacturers wanting to piece of the pie.

I recently looked a Absolute Sounds high end speaker and cable issue. I was stunned to see there about 32 companies offering 72 speakers in the ~$100k and up range.

Perhaps there is a healthier market for $100K speakers than one might otherwise have assumed? The last few years, the luxury market has appeared to be more Asia. And quite healthy there.
