Doctor's Orders-Part Two-The New Listening Room Of Steve Williams

Great stuff, Steve! Wonderful (from thousands of miles away) to put smiling faces to names! Looks like it was a great time.

I agree with Lloyd! Wonderful pics and nice to see that this hobby is not just for old geezers. KeithR and Mark Seaton look positively youthful! Of course, having a beautiful woman in your midst isn't a bad idea either!

Thanks to everyone for making for such a fun evening

Sam...how did you and your wife not get in any of these photos

 Haha, Steve -- we were sampling :D the lemon drops ;)
Best lemon drops of THE Show -- bar none

+1
In a few, then.
Having delightful time and looking forward to it :)

Thank you Steve and Cathy for being such wonderful hosts. I was first to arrive, but you couldn't get me away and was also last to leave.

The highlight of my evening was definitely giving Debby a ride to and from your place, and hearing her stories, and BruceD's stories.

Are we to expect some Genesis/Wilson Hybrid collaboration in the near future??

Gary

the highlight of my evening was proving to my wife that there are even worse zealots than me in this hobby, to wit 'you', when you showed me the almost invisible $1200 ruby bearing that was specially milled for you for your TT. It was fascinating however to see the precision with which that tiny bearing was made

I had to bring something to show and tell because the scales at which we have to operate at for vinyl playback cannot be conceived of by most. That's because we are always talking about "precise" being a bearing machined to "better than a mil". Once we realize that a mil = 25.4 microns, and the grooves are measured in microns and with the "squiggles" going down to 0.1 micron, precision up to a mil isn't going to be good enough.

It was a fun session. I was hoping to be challenged more, but most of the audience just nodded along :)

As a turntable newbie, was utterly fascinating to learn from you (and Albert) on Friday. Well done!

Once again my hearty thanks for a superb evening sonics and hospitality

Kudos for the System

I enjoyed the pix...nice to see some faces attached to forum names. You know how much I like your speakers Steve. Great color too. ;)

Stillpoint's on the Lamm's ? You owe it to yourself to demo. They made a significant difference in clarity/transparency of the entire frequency range for my amps. I use them on top of the amp stands and use only 3 in a tripoint configuration.
