My two previous speakers were the Stenheim Reference Ultimes and the Sonus Faber Aidas. Both excellent speakers in my opinion with the Stenheims being more resolving and a little bit more detailed than the SF. If I had to choose, I would say the Gobels are a mix of both. They don't have that piercing resolution that some speakers have and which give you a headache after 30 minutes. That sounds Iike i mean there is no detail just fuzzy warmth but it's not that either. Live classical music in a good hall never sounds piercing. It sounds warm, organic, liquid and real, like the human voice does close up. That is how the Gobels feel. It doesn't feel processed. Neither did the others, but imo the Gobels do it better.

Anyway, Lampizator sounds great too...
The foundation of the Noblesse is stunning !!!
I agree. I have been impressed by what I have read about the Divin bass, and what I have heard on these recordings certainly suggests that those comments are correct.Ha ha ha..... My Tads CR1 lacks deep bass.

Hey XV-1. Hope all is well. Any thoughts or impressions as to how the Divins compare to the big Wilsons?WOW Howie. how did I miss this. awesome!!
Always liked Goebel speakers when I heard them at the HK hifi show but they were never at optimum. Sounds like I need to give you a buzz next time in HK to hear them properly.
BTW - can you move the Thales arm to the Acoustic Signature table and let me know how it sounds

Agree Elliot. It's great to be able to demo 3 great amps at home and hear such distinct differences even through a phone and YouTube. And to think the Gobels have not been fine tuned yet as you have suggested. Take it in steps. Can't be too greedy! The thing about a GREAT pair of speakers is they allow you to hear what you feed them. The better they are the less of themselves they impart on the music. While none are perfect, Oliver would argue with me LOL, these speakers do an incredible job of bringing the listener closer to the music, the ambiance, the power and the majesty of the source. I think Howie can still get more out of them with some refinements of the positioning and the footer adjustments however they seem to be working very well in the room. BRAVO and enjoy
If these K70s continue to impress you are right in that these are giant killers and used they are even more of a bargain. I better not listen to the K160s though!Hi Howie, wonderful comparison indeed! Many thanks for your efforts. Look like you may have found a way to save a lot money Just makes me wonder what the new M160 sounds like....for a lot higher price of course. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
They are Telos 2500 Next Gen put in for a friend to hear the amps with these speakers. We shall see how they perform but again no matching preamp.I feel the same way. The Engstroms sound more refined to me.
Looking forward to the comparison with the Goldmund 1000’s in the picture.
Never been my cup of tea although I have heard both.Wow that sounds amazing. The perfect balance between detail and musicality then.
Did you ever try magico m series like m6 or m3 ?
Absolutely. Not sure if the show will happen this year although we are opening up with no new cases in 6 of the last 10 days. It would be interesting to move the Thales although I kind.da want to change the Anna for a Fuuga first.WOW Howie. how did I miss this. awesome!!

May I ask what you didn't like about them and how the stenheims and goebels outperformed them? Thanks appreciate your insight.
The whole thing??Howie, can you please record the whole Du pre track on the Koda, I am a bit miffed after it gets over in 7 minutes, and listening on YouTube is not the same
Thank you, Gian60. How do the Divins compare with the Aeon + Baforce? Do you have a preference?Foe me Gobel is better than big Wilson.
I have 2 friends near 5 km from my home and we meet always,
one has Alexandria 2 with CH L1 X1 A1 mono, before had Viva new Aurora and before Krell Evo One and other has
X1 Grand Slamm with ML 32 and 33 and also Riviera pre and mono amp.
Both system sound very good but i think Gobel is better because has driver and crossover of higher quality
I listen very well for 6/7 hours Divine and Aeon Reference alone in Gobel company
Very impressed also for Petite Baforce subwoofer with Aeon reference
