I appreciate that you use series X overs. IMO, much superior to parallel x overs.
I am wondering why only very few manufacturers use these X overs.
It is a great pity

How so ..?

A parallel crossover causes some separation between drive units at the cost of musicality. With a good series crossover you have more the impression to listen to single driver speakers.

Back from the paintshop after assembly (before final polish )

My favourite speaker colour RAL 9005 ( Jet black ).

One last FR sweep / check then i ll bring them for review tomorrow .

Off course they do but they are not a comparable Passive x over speakerdesign
They are actiive speakers, i asked they can be adjusted to the room bass / mid/ treble at the amplifier.

They are only sold as a system., if your re into vinyl / real music look no further then Fm acoustics.

Sure but virtually all active systems suck i ve heard many
But not his design

Active digital sucks ! Not well made active analog !

I assume the signal gets split at line level and then amplified driving the individual voice coils direct .
This results in an immediacy/ dynamics which make passive x overs sound slower.

Also the FM amps have a natural grainless finesse/ resolution which is simply missing on other amps , at any price tube or solid state
(I heard them also on passive speakers )

One mistake is in the review:


A series filter means the loudspeaker units are connected in series ( perfect phase ) and the filtering parts ( caps / Coils) are in parallel over the LS units instead of the other way around

One mistake is in the review:

( besides Andromena front page , which should have been andromeda off course )

Regarding series...I have read another speaker design does that. What exactly does this mean...and why did you do it? Thanks for any easy-to-understand technical explanation...for a non-techie!

Usually this also meant using a very expensive cap for this purpose.
Duelund / top series mundorf etc .

The parallel cap can be a much cheaper one reducing the cost .
All costs add up and will increase the consumer price .
In this competitive business all things count.
