I think it's automatic. Check the bottom of the Forum page. Member list is under Community in thr header.

How's does WBF count their members? I could not find a members list.

On AA I have no clue how they get to 80k members. If you go through the member list the number of members being counted is 43 916 of which approx 41830 have zero posts. Only 2000 odd members have ever posted 1 or more posts.

---- I know another site (among many others), and I won't name it, which has over 10,000 members, but only less than a hundred or so are the regular/active posters.
AND! They have a bunch of girls as members, but NEVER they posted (except for very few).

My best guess is that they do that to attract membership. ...Fraudulently.
They boost the total number of membership by adding a ton of fake usernames, and with many females.

Very good points about both forum.

If you look at this forum, I think you'll find that less than 100 of the 3215 members have accounted for over 90% of the posts.

IMO, AA is a forum, WBF is a chat room.

Thank you, Lee for pointing that out. :)

Getting back to the topic, I noticed one thing this morning....or at least I think I did. On the Reference System Report: Room #2, it appears as if the mains are pointed straight ahead with very little to no toe in. For those who made it to RMAF, is this the way they were at the show or is it perhaps just an illusion given the photo below?

Very little or no toe-in at RAMF; I'm sure there are photos somewhere, probably even in this Forum.

Interesting. Thanks, rbbert.

I'm glad HP is 'back,' and through a medium over which he has control. I enjoy reading thoughtful reviews, and musings about why something sounds the way it does or what contributes to the sound we hear over a reproduction system as a philosophical matter, rather than just 'by the numbers' reviews.
As to room treatments, the 'best' room I had so far was in an old brownstone in Brooklyn years ago, heavy real plaster walls with lathe and horsehair backing, very high ceilings, extremely wide old wooden plank floors. Admittedly, I was running a pair of Crosby Quads back then, did not run subwoofers and was not pushing the acoustic boundaries of the room or system.
Remember the Troy Bank music hall? I forget who first started promoting that venue as a sonic marvel, but I went there a number of times. Old room, built atop a stone (granite?) bank. Sounded great, even if the seating was unforgiving.
My current room is treated, out of necessity, and it improved the sound enormously.

Sid Marks. His brother lived not too far away from the hall.

Let's not ignore the very likley notion that the speakers were posed for the photograph.

Tweeters are to the inside , so not suprising very little to no tow was necessary ..

Although I can't speak for the KO, the Baby Grands require no toe in at all. One of the great parts of his speakers are they are simple to set up and have a huge sweet spot

Seems to me I saw those speakers featured in one of those Parts Express flyers they send out every other month. I think they offered it as a kit. :D

And which model are you talking about that Parts Express offers as a kit?

I think one problem for hp is review samples. Where do you go tas or hpsoundings. At this point you would think tas has the edge over hp. Harley and JV were IMO stepping on hp's toes. I'll guess we'see how that plays out.

Fair point, but at least for the older generations, HP still has credibility, and frankly, the Absolute Sound has been generally awful in the last couple years. If some of the less august online magazines can get review samples, I gotta believe good ol' Harry P. can too.
