trust your OWN ears.
Just, don't think choose expensive stuff make sound better! Treat (acoustic), as you can, your listening room first of all.Just curious what lessons you learned as an experienced audiophile that you wish you knew at a much younger age.
2) is that because of the t3f arm ?1) Buy a few Marantz 7s and 9s and put them away in a closet for 30 years.
2) Buy a Goldmund turntable. I owned mine for 30 years. Of course, 29 of them were spent figuring out how to use it, but man, I loved that thing.
3) Buy season tix at Carnegie and keep upgrading by donating as a patron until you get into the center Tier 1 boxes. That might take 30 years also.
4) Tell your children that if they go near your turntable, you will sell them to buy a new one. It works very effectively.
Good one.Buy as many tubes as possible and store them safely!!!!
I agree, exposure is needed and as you get more exposure your tastes may change. My tastes in wine, food and cars have changed as I have had more exposure to new and different things At the end of the day, I know what pleases me now and rather it be food, wine, cars or H- Fi, I encourage people to trust their own instincts. No one knows what you like more than you.I wouldn’t without gaining a minimum level of exposure. What’s minimum can be debated
