I enjoy the Koetsu Coralstone Mono. I played it with a wonderful UK pressing of Sonny Rollins of 1962 in Mono. Goes via a true mono line (AudioSpecials phono pre) into preamp and amps.

How do you find the DP100M?
It's the only vintage Japanese deck thats held my interest over the years!
A good friend did lend his 80th anniversary Onyx to myself some time ago.
Was able to compare it with my Onyx Platinum Diamond.
The 80th Anniversary Onyx isn't platinum, we'll just get that out of the way.
The 80th Anniversary is a great sounding cart. No doubt about it.
Maintained that 'Koetsu' sound while having a strikingly different overall presentation to the platinum magnet Onyx.
You could very easily live with both and was lucky enough to have, albeit for a temporary moment in time.
It would be nice to at least have a look at the pricing for rebuilds of each series sample of Koetsu cartridges. A little more information about the Koetsu company history of the people carrying out the rebuild service would be helpful as well.

This absolutely beautiful Coralstone (one of the last available) arrived today.

It‘s a Glanz MH-94s. The TT is a Technics SL-1000r.
The original Technics arm is at the back and carries various cartridges from my collection.
The Koetsu SUT (new version) was a birthday present from my wife.I bet it sounds as beautiful as it looks.
And yes it sounds as lovely as it looks
It appears Arturo Manzano, MD of AXISS Europe (J-OEM HiFi distributor) is heading a company called Analog2Fidelity that will make 'Koetsu' cartridges again using the people originally involved. They've been active since October offering Koetsu rebuilds but it seems they now intend to make continuation Rosewood Signature, Urushu Wajima and Urishi Vermillion.
There may have been a small discreet company behind this thats just got new backing and employment but my suspicion is that Koestu were actually made OEM by other cart manufacturer(s) in Japan over the past 20 years or so. I recall that Scantech (Lyra) were involved with this previously. Whoever it is, possibly against the Koetsu families statements (?), will just continue to make them since they have all or some of the know-how, processes and parts access. Its not clear if they will be badged as Koestu however. The press release is suitably vague.

Arturo Manzano ran the Accuphase distributor in USA, Axiss Audio, for >20 years. This is the same guy who jacked Accuphase prices in the USA to incredible levels vs Japan prices.
I am not optimistic that the services he provides will be of good value, especially if you know a good retipper/cartridge rebuilder already. The press releases and interviews I am sure will say that he/they love analog audio, etc etc, but the reality is that they love $. It is what it is, I guess.
Likely his outfit will follow the Kiseki model - local figurehead/shop front/main office in country A, everything made overseas or repaired in country B - the Adidas model of business. Obviously either Sugano did not hand make the wood bodies themselves, so it would not be complex to source them. Wasn't there a rumour that stone bodies were made by a Koetsu relative? May be that is why they are not included.
Koetsu have a client base in Europe/N America who are conditioned to (over-)pay for the cartridges, and Koetsus are not "complex" to make (cf Transfiguration Orpheus), so it would only be a matter of time before this happened. I am not optimistic, but we shall see.
