Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

According to my inquiry Horizon No. 40 is being assembeled right now and I will have to wait for my No. 50 another four weeks or so. Waiting like a kid for christmas...
Hmmm, that must mean my queue number of 36 must be built. One can only assume, right????

Got brown 1960s one and black 1970s ones available. About 120$ difference…. My KT 170s are indeed breaking in. They were up and down the first few days, but are settling now. Stil, the metal base Sylvania 6SN7 made a much bigger difference.

They are difficult to source. I spoke with the guy who bought entire stock of Ei Nis tubes when factory was closed and he sold all he had left like 10 years ago.

It seems odd to me but is anyone using the tubes that Lampi provided with the Horizon?

I'm quite sure majority of "normal" people who are not visiting this forum are using stock tubes and their life is much more relaxed and easy

You are probably right...lol. Even Steve W got the disease and he is a professed nontube roller.

the tubes it came with are decent. I actually like the KT88 quite a bit. The EML Recti is not to my taste at all… But it did sound good with that combo. I recommend rolling the drivers and Recti at least… The sylvania 6SN7 metal base are epic. Many people like the black Tungsol ones…

I’m not. I have now 3 back up sets of each tube in my H. In fact I have many unobtainium tubes that I am considering selling. I’m quite happy with mine the TS 6SN7 GT VT231 is a keeper as are my others.

Private event announcement!

We are very excited to invite our friends at WBF to a private event we will be hosting in Princeton, NJ on October 1, 2022. The LampizatOr Horizon will be in attendance as will several other pieces from our portfolio (LampizatOr, Tobian, Westminster, Final Touch Audio). The event will take place in a private residence (shadowlight's home) and will be setup to host several systems and is always a fantastic time.

Please message us for further details and RSVP, but the particulars are as follows:

Start Time: 1pm (As usual, I will have snacks ready with lunch around 2pm or so)
End Time: 6/7pm (will confirm as we get closer)

Family Room Setup: Tobian12FH, Westminster REI Amplifier and Quest Preamplifier, Lampizator Horizon DAC,
Basement Setup: Pure Audio Project Trio15 Horn (working on getting hold of Voxativ drive, baffle and crossover), Lampizator GG2, Vinnie Rossie LIO Integrated

We can swap equipment around as we used to during the RAVE hay days after 5pm in basement and spare room setup. So if you are attending and would like to bring equipment around to swap in and out feel free to bring it with you. Basement and spare room setup is mostly my setup with Amber 4 in the spare room provided by Lampizator America team who will be using the family room to show case their offering.

Covid Protocol: I will have mask available for folks who would like to wear one but anyone attending the event is attending at their own risk. I am not responsible for anyone catching Covid or any thing else.

The usual rules about taking shoes off (house slippers are ok), no alcohol or meat applies.

Looking forward to seeing many of you!

For folks coming from out of town:

Closest airport to my place: Newark (EWR) 45/50 minutes north, Philadelphia (PHL) 1/1:15 South and Trenton (TTN) about 25/30 minutes. Only Frontier flies into Trenton but if you do fly into Trenton let me know and we can figure out a pickup for you.
Hotels: search in zipcode 08540

Check out Carles Benavent. The album is called Quartet. It sounds fantastic on my Pacific. I can only imagine what this would sound like on a Horizon. Jazz Fusion! Great instrumentation.
