LampizatOr Horizon - Tube Rolling Paradise

I only have the 04, in mesh and plate so 2 different ones

I found the same thing using RGN 2004 and Valvo G2504. When the Horizon is powered on the Nitzy light begin to light at 28 rather than 30. I wondered if it had to do with the tubes being 4V and the Horizon 5 volt

Anyone have an explanation for why the count down numbers come on later with the RGN recti?
My experience is that sometimes the countdown numbers start promptly and other times, they are delayed and will start from 15-20 sec countdown on the nixie tubes. This has occurred across a wide variety of all 3 tube types, including both 4V RGN and 5V rectifiers. Sounds like a question for Lukasz?

since I’ve owned the Horizon I’ve had 7 rectifiers in the system. All start the countdown at 30 except for the RGN 2004 and Valvo G2504. Both start the countdown at 28. It has never started lower than 28. I’m sure it’s all meaningless and of no consequence

Sorry. I have the 1004 :) Same as Steve, i tried many recti and all started at 30 except these two

And those are the only 4v tubes I’ve used which made me wonder if that somehow was related

Its not related with 5 or 4V recties. I would say its more related with the point if it's directly or indirectly heated rectifier tube. With small Bendix rectifier which I was using (indirectly heated) Nixie tubes countdown appeared after like 15/20 sec...

Where did you get the sleeve/shroud?

Shroud me !
Also, should anyone care, the XLR input for Horizon is 7, not 8 as the manual suggests.
I just got my first ever analogue rig. Enjoying this process very much. The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady spinning atm…
I’m using the Horizon as a pre. It sounds perfect….

2504 heaven:):)
What material is it? Just curious since I don’t have a 3D printer.
There is quite a few different materials that you can print it from. Look up 3d printing filament. One of them looks metallised. There is also carbon filber impregnated materials as well

My grounding box recommended by Pasmod3 arrives this week. I will let you you know what happens when it gets here

Where does the grounding wire go is it a must that the wire be grounded and if so to what
I recommend the kojo crystal e ground box. Cheap but effective. So much so I use it everywhere:)

Not necessary to ground if you don't want to but if it is there and you can use it , good idea
