great! we are impatient to read your report - hope you will have the opportunity to hear the Ultimate.

Yes I heard them yesterday and more today. A write up of my visit will be on PFO soon. It's been slightly overwhelming so far. These are not the speakers our dads listened to with six pieces of wood glued together, a couple of off the shelf drivers screwed in and some foam stuffed inside! ;)

You have stated that your are going the 5 way active route with 4 amps & sub amp and 5 DACs with only one D to A converting right at the amplifiers. The question is besides using 2 DEQX units or a Behold system with each amplifier having the DAC for a 5 way setup with digital input, what other system can do this in the digital domain before converting? . I am aware of the 5 way Marchand but that has to convert A to D then D to A again.

How do you know Magico don't all ready use Deqx? :)

Ok then! A moment of truth coming up...lets see if people like it.

Jon says live!!!

Even though I can't afford the awesome Ultimate 3's, I feel fortunate to own a pair of S5's and a Vitus Signature series amp which comes from the same DNA. Of course there is not the same level of dynamics and vast sound stage, though one can be very happy with the smaller brothers ;) Looking forward to your report on the Ultimate 3's Peter!

Sounds great. Looking forward to it !

Active DSP? Interesting... where does that plug in
