Modern speakers vs Vintage speakers

I am crazy sometimes.

I took the above video by myself on March 2015 between 11PM and 2 AM with temperature hovering around -10 F( -30 C).

People stopped to ask me whether I need any assistance.

I replied back that I am fine taking some photographs.

I got some recognition in photo contest for tuorism.

Tubes amps always cost more to run but are worth it if you like the tube magic.
TJ mesh plates are not so expensive and sound really good! I would not go crazy and invest more on the tubes than the amp itself costs!

I tried Full music mesh plate(maybe same as Tj mesh) which sounds fine fullbodied.

But after being back to Psavne Acme, it is hard to go back to it, since Acme give more nuanced and musical sound.

Thus I plan to use quad Psavne Acme(1700$ not tetrribly bad) in Cayn 300b push pull amp.

Currently I am using EML 300b in Line Magnetic 508 which is also very good under 5 year warranty.

TJ mesh, full music, JJ, are not that good. Acme is better than them but KR and elrog are better than acme. Also better than EML mesh and Takatsuki. Elrog is the best 300b of the new ones, most transparent to the recordings and does not force a stage or color the midrange.

can you take a photo of the tube so that we don't talk past each other. these are my tubes.
i love that high-energy sound that never annoys or sounds sharp.

Thanks,On the subject of mesh plates, you surely know that wire anode sheets are not so highly resilient. In the past, mesh plates were only available as rectifier tubes. 300b are only introduced so that they have nicer tube lights.
my tube creates 80% of the sound of an original Western Electric I am very satisfied. She clearly won the shootout.;)

Erlog appears to have had reliability issue before Thomas Mayer took over.

If they give at least 3 years' warranty (EML give 5 years warranty) then I am willing to get it.

I have WE 300b made in 1950's.

Thus it will be interesting to compare between Erlog and WE 300b.:)
