New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Looking at tonight's stats....my eyes almost fell out of my head....at the end of the 3rd and at Phoenix, the Suns are down 95-65 to the Grizz

The Grizz are peaking with every game. They could easily come out of the WC

And also looking at tonight's stats, the Lakers at home to Charlotte are losing by 16

In the East, the Nets are also looking better Wirth every game and are riding an 8 game win streak.

I can't remember a season with so many pleasant surprises

Luka is indeed MVP potential this year as he goes 50-8-10 in a win over Houston. Problem is he is the only Mac handling thee ball. He will need help this year if Dallas is going to succeed

Oh and FWIW I noticed the Lakers have a perfect record in their division as they are 0-7 but heck the only thing that matters is LeBron overtaking Kareem o_O

Looking at the EC, all 4 teams in the 7-10 spots are capable of doing some harm as spoilers or perhaps even shock the top tier 6 teams. I am interested to watch the chemistry going for the Nets as their dynamic duo are playing well together and the Nets are only 2 games out. In fact there are no newsworthy Kyrie stories any more. I believe the Nets can go deep this year. Their last 2 seasons ended quite abruptly

I've never known much about C J McCollum except to say that he is a superb player . I was disappointed to see him traded from Portland where Lillard is once again performing at all star levels. I never knew CJ was president of the NBAPA. This was an excellent read especially as to his thoughts about Zion. The trade from Portland to the Pelicans has seemed to be the final piece to their rebuild plans. They have fallen off a bit lately but come playoffs they will be in the mix

CJ McCollum diary: ‘You’re starting to see Zion unleashed’

These are the injuries that the “bigs” get and can be season ending and sometimes career ending I wish AD a speedy recovery but they should have traded him and LeBron last year I would have included Westbrook but he’s not the player he once was and with a huge contract

It’s tough for me to imagine that with a subluxed shoulder Steph will be ready to return In 2 weeks. Those shoulder ligaments right now are somewhat lax and stretched and need therapy. Otherwise next time he could dislocate his shoulder completely. My son had the same injury. Second time he needed surgery to stabilize the joint.

I think everyone has been noticing Nets and Knicks surge. I like the Knicks and think they will be a factor however I believe the Nets have the potential to go deeper

The Nets and Knicks are suddenly on fire. How legit is their turnaround?

New York's 2 NBA squads have pulled themselves from slow starts and are on stable ground -- for now.

I happened to see who is favored by the Vegas gamers and I wasn't surprised. They came so close last year Phil. Tatum has matured and is MVP material

The one thing I think is for certain is that there won't be a repeat of last years GSW.....but @christoph says that anything can happen in the playin rounds. Look at the 8 teams that are 7-10 in EC and WC.....anything is possible

BTW, I think they have underestimated the Grizz. That might be a bet that one could win some $$$

The other game I look forward to today is the Grizz at GSW for a rematch of last years conference playoffs. At least the Warriors know how to win at home but Ja Morant and the Grizz IMO are the best team in the WC and Morant could easily be the MVP this year

Christoph, I thought your 2 teams were GSW and Nets. When did the Knicks become a favorite?
I certainly meant the Warriors and the Nets (more KD)

I shouldn't have bolded the Nicks as well...
Sorry for the misunderstanding

5 excellent games on today but the big news is the Celts are back in 1st, a half game ahead of the Bucks and they play today in Boston. That will be an excellent game
Tatum needs to pour in 40 points and Brown 30. As Giannis and Middleton would do the same :D

Merry Christmas , Steve. And all our basketball friends here.

Tatum can easily do that. It'll be a great game.

I hope Doncic wipes Lebron's backside today. Doncic is on a mission whereas LeBron is on a legacy leg of the downward part of his career

Big game today for them. I love the Warriors but this year's Grizz team headed by a young but future MVP and HOF Ja Morant are the hottest team in basketball and Morant is playing like he has been at it for years and gets better with every game. I don't think any player can jump as high as him. He has postered somme for the best bigs in the league with his enormous slam dunks
