Yesterday when discussing the EC , I stated that as good as the Sixers are they just don't seem to have what it takes to finish atop the EC. Case in point, yesterday Embiid scores 48 and the Sixers still lost. In this present age, the league is filled with stars and most have 2 superstars and some have 3. I'm not so sure Harden can be still considered a super star. It's interesting to look back at the great tandem OKC had with Westbrook, KD and Harden and where they are now and where they are in their careers. Only KD seems to be the Duracell bunny as he keeps on ticking....not so with the other two. Harden has done nothing since leaving and all Westbrook could do is smoke as he signed that huge $47.06M contract with the Lakers. I don't even think KD makes that money

Suns lose again and seem just ordinary without Booker . I think the Suns blew both opportunities in the past two seasons as I think their time has come and gone

Nets are on a 10 game win streak are bringing shivers to the EC and to the league in general. Nets are now in 2nd , 2 games behind the Celtics. The Celtics owned the Nets in the past two seasons but this could be a different outcome. KD, Kyrie and the Nets are playing the best game in the league now.

I posted that for you. Since the warriors are in a funk, your next team is the Nets. You cannot deny that we are getting ahead of ourselves. This is now and everyone is looking over their shoulders. There is no doubt in my mind that the EC this year is stronger in all ways than the WC

That is very nice of you and I kind of knew that this was aimed at me maybe even as words of solace because I have to suffer through the Warriors

But the Celts have been irresistible all season long and if injury hopefully does NOT strike them, the Celts will win it all

I totally agree. I think the Celts could be a dominant force for years to come

Being a dominant force in the league is one thing but being a repeat NBA champion is almost impossible to pull off as there are just so many great teams all played by young, fast and very skilled players

He has 2 years left with the Lakers, I have to wonder which team is his next target if he intends very play till 45. Which team will he concoct a new drama? He truly is fit to be in the WWE. The guys there don't age and sometimes bring in their family members into the ring.

and to prove a point, I just saw that Zion and the Pels are sitting in 1st in the WC. Zion is finally having a breakout year

I am not their biggest fan, but want them both to succeed because they have been unreasonably criticized and dismissed by many so called basketball fans.

especially Ben Simmons - mental health issue is very hard to understand to most people who never had to go through it. same as cancer - you will never understand the true meaning of the word (and what goes with it) unless your doctor tells you “you have cancer”.

kudos to Pelicans for not rushing in bringing Zion back prematurely and letting his injury fully heal. many were questioning if the decision to draft him ahead of Ja is correct… and as good as Ja can be, I think I’d rather build a team around Zion long term if I am a team owner.
