Looks like Bulls v Lakers to me right now. Hard to see Shaq bringing Cs interior D to where it's been the last few years. I know my Celtic fan friends are nervous. I think Ainge wishes he could take that trade back
That would be a blast to watch. OKC is clearly the coming young team in the West, the Bulls of East if you will. Only prob. is that they have to beat the Lakers vs. the somewhat lesser teams in the Bulls' way.
Guys like Durant and Rose are exactly what the NBA needs.
The Spurs now look like and play like last year's Spurs. LAL without doing anything at the trade deadline suddenly became better. Not so for NYK and the C's. The trade got them spinning and tumbling, it can be said now. C's loss to the Bobcats tonight is another downer, a cause for alarm but nothing much can be done. Rondo's shooting has turned for worse, missing open shots in the last few games. Allen can't find the open shots and Pierce and Garnett inconsistent. Unlike the Lakers, the fire is in the eyes of the starters. They look primed to step on the gas. OKC and the Bulls have good opportunities coming. They need the fire in their eyes too come May.
I like what see and am looking forward for a 3-peat
So here is another thought, a remote possibility of course. I have just looked at the schedule for remaining games for both the SAS and the Lakers and IMO the remaining games are favoring the Lakers. Does anyone think there is a possibility the Lakers will overtake the Spurs for finishing first in the west
Re Rondo, the story being told on NBATV was that he was disgruntled that his best friend (Perkins) was traded to OKC and he is showing it in his play

interesting remaining 10-11 games. Chicago now 2 1/2 games ahead of the Celts. It will be tough for Boston to prevail as number one in the East.
It will be a most interesting playoffs as there is so much parity in the league now. IMO anything could happen.
Spurs fall again, this time to the Grizzlies. One can only see how important Duncan is in their lineup otherwise they are quite vulnerable.
If Lakers beat Hornets tonight they will be only 4 behind the Spurs. Anything is possible
