Before signing off for today I'd like to share a few photos of our brand new assembly space as long as it's still this clean and empty :)

And an IMHO cool movie the guys made, btw @dminches one of those is now on its way to you!

Wow. $300k USD of MSRP sitting on one table. Just wait until all 3 tables are filled - - it's a nice business, Emile!

I am personally grateful that you are plowing your success back into significant enhancements for the entire Extreme community. The sonic results so far are already impressive!

When I receive Taiko USB card and SGM Extreme's Official Taiko USB universal driver,

and Official TAS are updated, I'll request SGM Extreme review to the Korean biggest

HI FI community site [HI FI Korea].

Almost Korean audiophiles said SGM Extreme is just expensive PC.

I really pity them.

Review result is not important, and my purpose is to inform SGM Extreme has huge worldwide

noble audiophile fans.

Maybe some Korean HI FI reviewers don't know SGM Extreme.

Korean HI FI clock was stopped at 2010.

Korean SGM Extreme review will show now is 2021 and King of music server is Emile,

Edward's music server.

When are you going to produce a Bright red case Emile? I think it would look great.

How about an Iron Man theme model :)

Joking aside we are working towards moving all production in house which will open up more possibilities. We have just ordered our first large CNC machine capable of machining the Extreme chassis, a HAAS VF3 Super Speed. We are also investigating acquiring surface finish machinery.

Here's a video link to VF2SS, mostly the same machine, just smaller:

And this will be our new machining space, the delivery time of the HAAS is 17 weeks so we should have this finished when it arrives.

My TAS/updates is acting differently. Today is the first time that I saw the green update arrow next to the 3 dots. When I click it then it says "information"- Updates available. When I click the Updates available it takes me to the Server - Libray- Plugin page. Under server is show "new version available", BUT with all of that there is no icon to press for "click to update".
Mine behaves very differently whether on iPhone/iPad or Laptop via IP address.

There is no green update arrow.
I have to go to click the 3 vertical dots on the top right corner to get to "Server Settings".
Then in the Settings the default menu lists "Basic Settings"
I have to scroll down to "Software Updates" then check updates manually.
When I do this I get Logitech Media Serve 8.1.1 available. as in the picture.
When I click on it though a new browser page opens with Logitech Media Server but there is no iOS option to update.

Thx Heebrog, You and me are in the same boat without a paddle:) No updates for us:0)

ok, i'm the last person who should be giving advice.

but last week when i saw the green dot i went to plug-in page and i clicked on the 'new version available' words and it did the update. so it's a stealthy sort of thing.

at least it appeared to do something.
Thx Mike. I tried that nothing happens when I click on "new version available". Strange:)

Mike
that is exactly what I did except when I clicked on “ see updates” it took me to a page of plugins. There were a few at the top that said needs update and a bunch at the bottom of the page that were up to date. As you stated there was a button below the few plugins that said update now.
I did the same things but there is no "see updates" icon. No big deal, it will sort itself out.

There should be no real benefit to be had from this update. LMS is actively maintained though by a group of enthusiasts as you noticed, we actually have nothing to do with this update.

Thx. Actually I have the box checked in my setting to "automatically update" so it may have actually updated. Where if you have the "update manually" checked maybe you then get the update prompts.

Where’s the laughing emoji? That sounds just like something I’d do. Spend a day trying to figure out where my updates are, only to find its already updated because I‘d clicked the auto-update box. Yup, been there, done that!

TAS question:

If I have chosen the Batch player I see there are also options of ExtremeDirect Player (on or off) and Gapless player on the "switch between players" page. Is the serial player the same as the ExtremeDirect Player and Batch = Gapless? Or, are all these settings independent?

In TAS, when selecting music is “album artists” looking at the “album artist” tag field? That seems to be the case. “All artists” doesn’t seem to look at the “artist” field unless I am missing something. It seems to look at the “composer” field. It would be nice to be able to just hone in on “artist.” Maybe I am missing something.

Perhaps that is what is happening for classical music? I know with my music library which is heavily biased toward non-classical music the artists I see in "All Artists" strongly support that the LMS component of TAS is looking at the Artist tag field. But there have to be an artist or artists entered in the Artist field for each album.

I always run the program Yate (for Macintosh) for each album before I upload it to the Extreme, to make sure the meta-data fields are populated the way I prefer them.

For this particular album, only 1 song is shows up with its own artists and that’s what appears in the “composer” field since they wrote the song. I am hoping there can be an option to show the database by “artist.”

Is there a separate mail box just for TAS suggestions and comments?

You can send the suggestions and comments to the report link on Flight Plan, that's the main channel for bugs, suggestions and comments.

New Extreme turned on for the first time today with an all Kondo system and Bayz Courantes.
