The only example I can remember is that TAS would not display an album which had Eastern European characters in the folder name. In the specific example, I believe I had the name "Jakub Hr?ša" in the folder name. I was looking for it in the view: My Music > Music Folder, and could not find it. I eventually was able to fix it by renaming the folder with "Jakub Hrusa" after which it became visible.
From what I can tell, there don't seem to be any issues with non-English characters in the filenames or tags. I have not really dug into this further. For example, would the album with the missing folder name have still been in the Albums view? I don't know - I didn't check.
Frankly, since LMS relies solely on file tags, and I have so many versions of the same albums, I have reverted to navigating TAS in the most old-school way possible: by folder layout. Interestingly, I find this rather satisfying, as I am in complete control.
Sorry John, I don't know why that's not working for you now. If something springs to mind, I will be in touch.I had it working once. Now it won't...I give up..
Hi John, Are you searching inside the Qobuz extension or are you trying to find Qubuz content via Local Music search?
John, do your windows look like the ones Christian posted? Maybe you could post what you were seeing in TAS when you can’t get Qobuz to make a search. With TAS, I can get the search function to work for my library. But I cannot get it to work in Qobuz. I did the rescan. Am I missing something here?
John is in a beautiful neck of the woods but with a bandwidth challenged Internet connection. Fibre is coming soon to his home, and we would expect the Streaming experience to improve@wil: Yes It's the exact as what Christiaan posted. It is in the Qobuz extension. It was working after the first RESCAN. Then it stopped? Been in contact with both Ed and Christiaan, not much they can do. Other functionalities on Qobuz work.
@EuroDriver:Thank you for your help Ed. YES, fiber will be a welcome addition. The only issue with that is I will be a little closer to civilization. Granted my bandwidth has limitations but I have used ROON for a few years now without issue. I cannot go back to ROON now after my ears have been exposed to TAS. As they say ignorance is bliss. As you indicated perhaps TAS is more sensitive to latency? Thanks again for your assistance...John
The flight case dimensions (including the metal corner pieces):What are the dimensions of the flight case, please?
Is it necessary to use roon for streaming Qobuz?
You are such a tease……via XDMS in the near future. XDMS is Taiko's fully in-house developed successor of TAS which is under development, still to be released)
I remember Ed recently said that it was his hope that the last beta TAS was done in Test Pilot. I just checked Test Flight and see it expires in 43 days..........just saying.....maybe Christmas will indeed come early this yearYou are such a tease…
I think that was before we learned that a significant amount of coding needed to be redone. Please see the snippet below from Emile's August 1st update.I remember Ed recently said that it was his hope that the last beta TAS was done in Test Pilot. Earlier for sure, we are not re-writing ShakespeareThat means that, at the earliest, we are talking about 1Q 2023. Wow!
