The Dereneville Turntable Motor

The DMS-5001 has a built-in linear power supply. Voltage switchable 100 to 240 VAC
The DAE-01 SP is comparable in its performance data with the DMS-5001.
However, it requires an external power supply unit.

It is actually only a question of optics.
The DAE-01 CL is the small drive unit and not comparable to the DMS-5001.

oh sorry I just see Shakti was faster.:)

Drive belt height on the DAE-01 SP is: 128 MM center. A bit high for the Micro Sieki RX-5000 .

DMS - 5001 , drive belt height is : 83 MM center

DAE-01-CL drive belt height is 90 MM Center

I have been in discussions with Rainer for quite some time now for a custom made BLDC motor to match my tt, based on his successful DAE 01 SP motor.
My current motor is very good and stable, but the Derenville motors are offering so many adjustment options, like acceleration on starting (to match heavier or light platters), speed adjustment at 0,001 rpm steps, voltage gain (to control dynamics), break adjustment on stop, even a programmable scheduled run for 20 sec to maintain the thrust and belt, through a very well designed software.

Rainer made for me a custom design, to fit my tt dimensions and height; and maintain the original tt design which I really like.

The motor‘s pulley provides the convenience to use belts of different thicknesses and even flat belts.

I spoken earlier with Rainer on the phone and the order placed, I am expecting delivery in about four weeks time and I will revert with my sound experience.

What is the price of such a motor - looks good?

Rainer got all parts from the electroplating workshop and has completed the connections of the electronics as well as the assembly of the two units (BLDC motor and controller). The software has been flashed to the PCB

He is reporting that he is very pleased with the outcome as the motor assembly is running quietly and smoothly as designed.

The 24 hours endurance test was Commenced since yesterday and on Monday the laser engraving will be done.

I am expecting shipping at the end of the next week.

At the meantime I have just received from Trelleborg Germany 100 pieces of custom made calibrated EPDM belts of high accuracy, at exactly the same dimensions of the original Brinkmann.

This belt made a very good improvement both on the sound and on measurements.

It was the minimum quantity I could order otherwise they wouldn’t make it

As I am waiting for the arrival of the new Derenville motor, Rainer was very kind to send two wonderful pieces of his work.
‘The Derenville Magic Mat and a limited edition Album that he has produced in 2000 Copies.
The mat is less than 0.5 mm of thickness and is really impressive what it does to the sound, I have tested several records today (with and without) and still can’t believe the sound improvement that it offers.

As far as the album is concerned (Kruse & Blanke, Back to the Roots) I will only (strongly) suggest that everyone has to get it.

sincere thanks Rainer

My new Derenville DAE-02-SP, delivered yesterday at my office.
Rainer has shipped it, in a bullet proof package which contained the flight case.

The quality and finishing level are very high as it was expected. The only issue is the connecting cable which is a bit too long but Rainer has made another one already. Rainer was very kind to include a flat belt too, in order to compare it with my EPDM belts

unfortunately I was too tired yesterday for the installation
