I mentioned in another thread (about ARC gear) that my wife, last child and I moved into a 100+ year old Victorian almost 4 years ago, now. Time flies. (The house is likely my main hobby now as maintenance is ever ongoing and upgrading is considerably $$$; asserting itself before audio gear upgrades.) While they house is quite solidly built, I do not feel comfortable having the weight of the collection on the floor and/or walls. So, 90% of it resides in an out building (slab floor, insulated walls, mostly temperature controlled and pest free). I stopped counting many moons ago when my rough estimate was 8K for LP's. Recorded music, with rare exception, has been a life long pursuit.
My gear centers around an ARC preamp, SAE or Parasound power amps, Revox R2Rs, Technics tables, JBL speakers (albeit with a strange attachment to 8" 2-way EPI designs) and various other pieces that come and go.
