I love Gobel Majestic so you can first buy It then add subwoofers after awhile.
You can start with 2 subwoofers then add more up to six.
As you know the Noblesse performance is very high but if you see big Majestic and feel it’s glory you will fall in love with it. The pictures of Majestic did not impress me but when I saw Majestic closely it was marvelous/perfect.
I 100% prefer to have 6 Gobel subwoofers and I will not order Gobel Majestic without subwoofers.
I prefer Gobel subwoofer because the sound experience is very different. Some audiophiles believes the subwoofers are just for extra gain in lower bass but in my opinion the 6 gobel subwoofers change many aspects of the sound.
I do not know why but adding 6 subwoofers also change the midrange.
Coming back to this, Amir...can you describe the difference between the Majestic by itself vs the Majestic with the dual subwoofer columns? It is clear you prefer Majestic only with the subwoofers. Would really like to understand why and what you hear is the material difference between WITH and WITHOUT the subwoofer towers. Thank you!

Excuse me for late reply, I did not check WBF for some days.
Please come to munich Show 2025 and visit Gobel Showroom. I think you will find it very interesting experience listening to Gobel majestic with and without subwoofers.

I read an article on Stereophile suggesting that using a single subwoofer ruins low-frequency enjoyment. Instead, it recommends using two subs placed next to the speakers. In my opinion, using no subwoofers at all is best. These points align with my post #72.

So if you've got a sub/sat system at home, go buy a matching second sub to form a proper L–R pair, place your subs near (preferably just to the outside of) your main speakers, keep the crossover point low, and tap the sound from the main speakers for the two subs.
Modern sounding speakers:
We have some aspects like -dynamic -harmonic -image …
Modern sounding speakers trade off dynamics for better objective measurements. Most audiophiles prefer modern sounding speakers.
About comparing Tidal LA vs Gobel Majestic I think the best way is traveling to both Tidal and Gobel showrooms in Germany.
I am sure you will see Gobel Majestic is more dynamic more alive more natural than Tidal LA.
I think “dynamic” is the most important aspect of sound.
To be fair I have only heard most of these speakers under show condition but I am not a fan. Dynamics are an issue for sure and I would add they just don't sound real. They are kind of like a picture that has been air brushed, pretty but not authentic!

I remember liking the Goebel room last year. It was I believe the Divin Comtesse with a Sovereign sub. They were also one of the presenters that looked like they put a little work into room acoustics.
Alas no Munich this year, it will have to be Vienna 2026.

A short story about why I like Wadax Vitus Gobel system.
My experience shows the long term listening enjoyments is very important so I prefer Vitus dc coupled Zero feedback Class A amplification for long listening sessions . There are some good solidstate class AB in this market but I like Vitus because it lets me forget the sound and listen/enjoy the music.
My longterm experience about better speaker shows the dynamics is important to me so higher efficiency speakers like horns, Gobel Majestic, old Wilson Alexandria, WAMM have more chance to introduce me good sound. I think Gobel Majestic with six subwoofer is very musical for long listening sessions and also very transparent.
In my opinion Vitus/Gobel matching is very good so there is no worry about drive and matching.
Wadax is my favorite solidstate digital source , proper deep extended bass with perfect dynamics and highest SNR.

Very interesting. I share similar preferences in zero feedback pure Class A amplification and used to own the old Wilson X1/Grand SLAMMS for 10 years and only 5 years ago went to the still quite efficient XLFs. Would definitely like to hear the WAMM some day. And finally, I also like the concept of dual sub-towers which you show in your photo of the Goebel setup.
I have never heard the Wadax and would also like to hear them someday properly set up. Perfectly enjoying the Zanden 4-box with its updates/tweaks which I have labored over in the 17 years of ownership.

I like your audio thinking because I love dynamic speakers like big wilsons.
Yes sure, My mobile number is +989121041310 and you can send messages on whatsapp.
I listened to Wilson WAMM in this year munich show, the amplification was 4 big monoblock D’Agostino relentless (1500w to 8ohm) and nordost odin 2 cables dCS vivaldi.
I think WAMM is different to other wilsons like XVX.
I should listen more with other amplifications in better demo condition to have better idea about WAMM but I am 90% sure WAMM is very different speaker.
What I like about WAMM is it’s dynamic range, the sound could be so much better in better demo condition but even in this condition the WAMM dynamics was very good.
Mr. Mamaghani (Audio Reference) told me I can visit him in hamburg city to listen to WAMM in much better condition.
I think these are my favorite speaker systems :
TAD Reference One TX
Gobel Majestic + 6 Subwoofer
Wilson WAMM + 2 Subwoofer
Living Voice Vox Olympian + 2 Subwoofer
Some speakers are like a time-machine, that at their best can shift you almost bodily to the original event. Others are like an electron microscope, that lay the recording out, like a slide for study. The Gobel Divin Comtesse is something else entirely. It offers that close up detail and separation, dynamic discrimination and sense of internal structure, but it offers life and dynamism too.
In terms of sheer access to the musical event (and the recording that captured it) I’m not aware of another speaker at this price (or prices quite a bit higher) to match what Göbel has achieved here. It’s a hell of basis around which to build a system.
