I think I have now read everyone one of Ben MacIntyre's Books. The latest being this:



he writes very well for those of us that don't have much in the way of grey cells.

Salle is one of my favorite contemporary artists. Heard him on Tyler Cowen’s podcast and he was so entertaining I had to buy this collection of essays.

I’ve been thinking about this book, thoughts?
I enjoyed it. I'm more sympathetic to Hayek so I found the parts about Keynes more interesting, in part because the book demonstrates that many of the common perceptions about Keynes' framework are incorrect. Definitely made me want to read more about Keynes.

After the breakdown of society and the death of the vast majority of humans, a family survives on Island. This tiny island in the Scottish Outer Hebrides is large enough for the parents and two siblings, ponies, sheep and dogs, but almost too small for the ghost-like memory of a sister who died on the cliffs and the sorrow for the loss of the rest of humanity.

 
How was this? I admired him as a kid, read Jerry Kramer's books which documented a lot of the Packers. Its interesting because I haven't watched a football game in years but he still has great attraction.

Maraniss is a good writer. Didn't know much about Lombardi before...
