Why do some threads blow up on other sites but not here

I'm an old man. You live in the hip-hop capital of the world. Ask one of the youngsters in the big apple what blowing up means.

Hello gentlemen and good evening to you. Let's try to keep personal comments from entering into the conversation please. A few posts have been edited/removed.
I think that the answer to your question, taters is due to the main goal set forth by the founding fathers of this forum. That goal is to have a friendly place where everyone shares ideas and information without the level of bickering and angst that other forums tend to create.

Tom-You should have left out the comma after "question" because you fractured the sentence. That sentence didn't need a comma. I had to shake my head a few times when I first read it in order to understand what you were trying to say.

A little while back, I was being flamed to death on another forum. The reason being that on the forum in question, there are a number of people with VERY closed minds who do not like anything upsetting their status quo. The thread that I started is now on its 18th page and the mud slinging is still ongoing! I left the thread and the forum days ago, yet the arguing and bickering still continue on this subject... why, because these same people are happy to throw mud and argue irrationally just for the heck of it and the mods are very weak. Luckily over here, the forum is controlled and flaming/ personal attacks are not tolerated as much.
