Is It Possible for a Manufacturer to Create a Design that Minimizes the Effects of Cables? Anyone you are familiar with?

Not only xlr ,Speakon and Powercon are better than any IEC plug or speaker connector. That's what I call contact security. You can use them to lower your speakers and equipment from the first floor if you want.

Not an issue in a home system though, not sure how many times your gear gets accidentally unplugged while in operation? what we really care about it contact resistance and for that, a binding post + spade is actually measurably superior. For power, a pure copper plug and receptacle are superior to the brass used in powercons.

I like the Neutrik stuff, just a quick cable comparison, don't switch anything off, just do it.( rca+speakon) Around 2 milliohms contact resistance is really good. You need really expensive measuring equipment to measure that. A normal test lead usually has more.
you don't need to try this with a normal measuring bridge.

I wondered as well, if a consumer is spending 20k plus on powercords and a conditioner, why dont they all have neutrik-type outlets and plugs ? I have this Galileo powercord that is so unwieldy, I have to keep my power conditioner face down so it doesn't pull itself partially out. Pretty frustrating.

Try using a Galileo power cord, mine got pulled out 20x plus, albeit, I was reorganizing my system at the time. But, it's not a good feeling when your music is playing and all of a sudden cuts off because the cord falls out on its own. Once it's set, it doesnt move much, but I have to angle it in bizarre ways to keep it from coming out and put my Powercell 8 face down in my secondary system. I also have a Powercell 14 and SRX cables in another system and dont have said issue with those. I guess the point is that the flexibility and malleability combined with the weight and stability of the power conditioner is a real factor that can affect the integrity of a cord's stability. Yes, first-world problems that keep me up at night.

I know this cable good.
That's why these holders are available for purchase. It turns one business into two...clever.
I can shake my head...complete incomprehension

P.S
Pure copper without any other material can't maintain contact stability over time. I once had to rebend the contacts on such connectors every six months...wtf
Mostly used Beryllium.

Regarding the original question, I have a Hifi Rose RS130 streamer and paired it with a RD160 dac by SPF connection, and I thought I heard clear improvements using SPF over any other cable. My RS130 received a SPF fiber optic connection for its internet connection as well. Then, Hifi Rose introduced the RS151, allegedly the RS130 and RD160 in one box. I bought the RS151 also. It was only the cost of one box, a 50 percent savings and more room on my rack . However, the RS151 lacks a master clock input and a SPF fiber optic internet connection input. So, what's my point ? While the one box saves money, it seems like at least with Hifi Rose you lose the ability to use an external clock and a fiber optic SPF connection. Do I think that matters? Yes , because I have my RS130 streamer, Gustard network switch, and DAC that are all running off the same Esoteric clock . And, I prefer a fiber optic SPF internet connection to my streamer where possible . The all-in-one solution eliminates the advantage of a SPF fiber optic connection between the streamer and DAC. Moreover, value-wise, the RS151 one-box solution will be very hard to beat for 5k-ish as the ability to synchronize a streamer, dac, and network switch with a master clock, and use a SPF fiber optic connection to the streamer may just be marginal improvements not significant enough for justification, but the jury remains out.

That's why I always use Neutrik PowerCon for my DIY projects. Once locked, the contact is 110% secure. You can even lift devices by the cable and nothing will happen. Maybe you sacrifice the last 5% of sound quality, but I don't care. The fun stops at mains voltage. Fires can start there or the device can be destroyed. I won't accept that.

Exactly. You would think with the cost of these cords and conditioners, at least you'd be assured the security of the cable. I was surprised that neutrik, or something similar wasn't used, other than the single cable that goes from the outlet to the power conditioner.

I use this one, first of all, they can handle much more power than any IEC plug on the world market.my tip when you want change.
