Absolare to Dartzeel - what will i gain what will i lose

lots of useful feedback here related to this question.....especially from adyc about the 'body' of music rendered by the darTZeel. always the 'hard' part for solid state. i'll go further on that issue to contrast that with any sort of excessive warmth or blunted musical view.

my own tube <-> darTZeel investigations led me to conclude that the whole musical experience was best served by the darTZeel as it was never limiting or distracting. i got all the drama and transparency of all the musical parts, but the feelings of the music were still well served. and i can listen for hours and hours and it continues to deliver and entertain.

a very balanced approach that serves all types of music......and it has done that for me for years now.

YMMV, just my 2 cents........in the context of my system.

thx Adyc

fortunately my dealer sells Dart, CH, Vitus, Lamm, Absolare, ....... :)

I love the Absolare electronics. Which is not to say that matching the correct Absolare amplifier to the right speaker is not absolutely essential critical.

In Munich 2018 Karim used his new high-power hybrid amplifiers on the Rockport Lyras.

Plenty of Dartzeel + Marten tradeshow setups have offered a sampling of the combo. I believe the Coltrane 3 + Dart combo would be excellent. I'm living in the Marten Heritage line and plenty happy there. I've also heard the Vitus + Marten combo and found it very satisfying as well. Both Dart and Vitus have a "sound" and it will come down to user preferences. I really enjoy both.

Incidentally, I believe Theiliste found Dart to be bright. I wholeheartedly disagree there. Different strokes. It sounds like your dealer has some great options. Hopefully you can hear them in home. I'll be curious as to which way you go and why.

PS which phono (or is the phono integrated in the Absolare pre?) and TT are you using?

exciting times at my house - i have a new TransRotor Black Tourbillon coming next week. Using a DS Audio Master1 which has its own phono. Am just discussing with my dealer about getting the new Kronos phono to satisfy my valve needs :)

Whoa big time! Valve phono into SS amps like the Darts could be a really great combo with those Coltranes. I'm in the middle of phono auditioning myself, so was curious.

Thanks!
