Audio Note vs. Aries Cerat vs. darTZeel

, the more accurate the stylus assembly the more you pay , its mainly the reason why some cartridges with similar bodies, the higher models cost more, because they meets spec, the out of tolerance ones are cheaper and usually the lower model ..
By this logic Zyx should have very high consistency and quality control as well as VDH master strad and Grand Cru

Do you have a TT ..? :)

Pick up a few carts in your collection, use a loop , observe the stylus , the more expensive carts usually have this in order to their lessor bredrens ..!

An expensive high price cart should meet specs , this was available to consumers many decades ago when mags actually tested and measured carts , manufacturers made every effort to make specs, not so today , subjective review era, pay and hope your cart make specs ..

JR said I can post this. He's to busy at the moment to jump on himself.

I have found no evidence that there is a direct relationship between price paid for a cartridge and meeting design specifications either of the cartridge manufacturer or their vendors. In fact, because the higher priced models take greater risks with respect to the severity of their stylus profiles, it could be argued that tolerances get even worse as you pay more. For example, a conical stylus does not exhibit any zenith error or SRA error whatsoever because it does not have a defined contact minor radius.

There are some manufacturers that get some of the specs better than others, but none that I know of are getting all of them consistently hit

Who mentioned price means or guarantee’s Quality..!

I will reiterate , the ones making spec becomes the next model up , the lessor ones the lower model.. most carts are poorly aligned the really good ones being expensive should be but not necessarily so!

Regardless taking and correcting alignment will improve sound tremendously ..!

A poor quality cart being expensive is self explanatory and academic ..

Different models are often built with different parts depending on model, different metal coils, different cantilevers, different diamonds. I would imagine an assembly with a expensive diamond cantilever is more likely to be sold even if the stylus is offset a little, than something with a cheaper aluminum cantilever with conical stylus.

Maybe you guys could get back on topic?

Hello and good evening to you, gentlemen. Let's please stick to the topic moving forward. There are other threads/avenues to talk about Tesla. Some off topic posts have been removed.

Thanks.

OK, Audio Note is crap, Aries Cerat is rare and DartZeel is dead ! ;)
Aries Cerat is also abnormally large for front end gear.

What if steves tesla has a audionote cassette deck

Seriously? Is it to much to ask to stay on topic...

I'm looking at 3 integrated amplifiers which (depending on the case) I will be able to do little to no listening to.

Curious any comparative sonic impressions or characterizations any of you have of any combination of these amps:

- Audio Note UK Meishu Tonmeister (any current variant)
- Aries Cerat (Protos or Genus)
- darTZeel (MkI or MkII)

Thank you!
Amplifier and speaker matching is important, subpar matching yields poor results.

Are you planning to buy speakers after you choose an amplifier OR what are your speakers?
