So nobody heard UHA Tascam ? I'm mighty curious how does it sound in comparison to R2R+BH repro or R2R+K/C.

I've heard it dozens of times, but in unfamiliar rooms and equipment, not sitting side by side with my Studers. I can say it's the best sounding "portable" unit I've heard. There are plenty of spare parts and comes with a warranty. Can't beat that!
