Gryphon PowerZone 3

I wish Gryphon would have instead of named the PowerZone the Snakeoil 1000 2i.
It is so not a power conditioner.
But the condition of the power on exit from the PowerZone is extraordinary!

I would agree the PZ is not a power conditioner in the traditional sense. And you are so right; the condition of the power exiting the PZ is different from the condition of the power entering it.
The engagement I get using the PZ’s is beyond what I used to have. I even found myself clapping along with the beat of a Ry X remix last night! Total immersion. In optimal balance. Lots of low end energy. You feel it. Open extended highs seemingly without harshness, just more openness. Mids are so real and present. Subtle details float. Overall, very impressive. I can’t explain it. So I’ll just enjoy it!
There was a question about power cables. I’m using Vanta from the wall to the PZ’s. Vanta from PZ to amp and pre amp. Very pleased with results of upgrading from stock and Cardas Clear Beyond XL. PZ performed significantly better with the Vanta’s, as I’m sure an improvement would have been heard with the Stealth too.

I purchased 2 after receiving that recommendation from Gryphon following a PZ home demo.
Reminder to always check my bank account before asking Gryphon for any advice… or @luca.pelliccioli for that matter…

I was chatting with a friend today who was about to order a new PowerZone. He asked if the Vanta cable was appropriate and as I feed mine with Vanta Cables, I told I felt is was a holy decision. But he was able to get a Stealth 2020 for a lot less. I am using the Vanta cables that came with my Apex. I have 2020s as well, but they go between the PowerZone and the Amp.

In other news. more and more Gryphon dealers are showing signs of never listening to their demo PowerZone units. They keep hawking AQ. Sigh.

Such a disservice to their customers! I imagine there would be more sales if they did more auditions.

I have one coming in tomorrow for a review at Positive Feedback.

Great, curious to read your thoughts.

Which power cord are you going to use?

Be patient, the first 2-3 weeks it could sound like a roller coaster. Once settled down it’s usually easy to evaluate how it significantly impacts the overall performance of a system.

Not sure yet.
