Thanks for the diamond feedback everyone, I look forward the diamond upgrade when it is time to rebuild my Blue Lace. Likely in a couple years.

Hi Ron, only topic with a diamond cantilever is that they are very fragile - one of my cats managed to knock my arm while playing - good bye cantilever, hello large bill....

on a sound front you loose nothing and gain a lot as others have commented....

Thank you. (But I will remain skeptical until I hear for myself that the diamond cantilever improves transparency (without any exaggerated detail emphasis or analytical-ness) without sacrificing "musicality.")

If you werent so far away Id say come hear mine. Surely there must be an Ortofon Anna D in your area. Carful though, its like Acapulco Gold, or fine Cognac, once youve tasted it nothing else will quite satisfy again. LOL.

Thank you for the kind invitation. But we would have to be able to compare the same cartridge with a boron cantilever versus a diamond cantilever in the same system, with both aligned by the same person.

or listen to that cartridge in a system you’re familiar with that has none of the faults that you are describing and then insert this cartridge with your favorite girl with guitar to see if there’s any enhanced edge. The comparison you’re asking for may be ideal but very hard to do.

I appreciate the suggestion but I don't think that would prove enough.

Or, just listen to enjoy. I can usually discern a superior component regardless of the system; you just need to know what to listen for..

Respectfully, I just do not believe this would be a valid experiment. It is way too easy to attribute sound to a component simply because that is what one was expecting to hear, or because that is what is in one's head, or for some other spurious or analytically invalid reason.

They truly are a work of art. I have the tsugaru.
Are you using it with the koetsu sut?
Actually it's for a friend in the city. I'm using a Tsugaru Urushi, no SUT. He won't be using a SUT either for this Wajima

Just interested but is your arm quite heavy as they are supposed to work better with high mass arms

I think it's medium, not as heavy as an SME V, but the Linn cannot take heavy arms.
