MSB electronics in another room

Has anyone placed their entire system in another room (ie no line of sight and used an IR extender for the remote). I am contemplating on a setup where all the electronics is remote and I use 30+ feet of speaker cable to tie it together, has anyone tried a similar setup?

Note my system is all digital so in theory I should not need to touch the electronics once they are dialed in.

I am heading to listen to 4 combinations on the 23rd of Aug so I am still peculating as this is really only an issue if I go with dual monoblocs

I’m sure you can do it.
Sonically, the main advantage would be that your speaker/sub vibrations would not affect your electronics as much. You’ll save a lot on proper vibration isolation devices compared to putting your electronics in the same room.
The main challenge if you’re running long speaker cables would be the impedance of the speaker cables and their interactions with the amplifier and the speaker. I think that’s why most people who choose your setup would still prefer to have the amplifier in the same room as the speakers so that you can run short speaker cables and long interconnects between the amplifier and the pre-amp/DAC.
I guess with long cable runs, it is also possible that your long cables would somehow get EMI/RFI interference depending on their placement. This of course is also an issue with short cable runs but the longer the cables, the higher the likelihood of some power cables crossing the cables and polluting the signal.

sadly I would be running them trough a crawl space for 7ft then the right channel has to go trough another 8ft cavity. The reality is this is only an issue if I go with dual M205's rather than a single S202 but I was thinking of options are the custom rack is getting too tall.
