The man behind the product , very sympathetic person .
Especially the Papillion is awesome looking plus it ran absolutely smooth and quit .
I made this vid last saturday at the MOC.

The tape preamps are inside the large base plate

 

These are part of one of the complete music systems FM acoustics sells .
XS 1 C , XS 2 C and XS 3 C , which system was playing in Munich i have no idea

Very strange. You can't find any detailed info on these speakers at all on the FM website! It's like a child the parents forgot to put in the car for a family road trip.

They seem to use Neutrik Speakon connectors, so you can make a diy cable for use with other amps.

From the pics it looks their amp has 2 outputs per channel which then go to the 2 electronic X overs which are placed behind the speakers this signal then goes to the speaker .
My guess is the speaker has no X over built inside at all , everything external

I noticed the same thing. Not that I'm in the market for speakers, but I was curious given the raves I've read about them at the show.

You certainly mean preamp > electronic XO > power amp > speakers?

I dont know exactly , but their pre amp was placed next to the turntable .

But it makes no sense to feed an electronic XO from a poweramp. A poweramp can feed a passive external XO.

I have no idea exactly how their system works , you d have to send FM an email .
All i m saying is that i dont think its possible of buying their speakers and then make a cable with a connector and connect your own amp .

I went twice, the second time without too much ambient noise. The sound was very clear, somewhat ethereal. They seamlessly integrated the AMT-like AMT with the woofers -- which I didn;t expect. Not the meaty, Wilson like sound, but enjoyable nonetheless.
They were happy to play my music of choice from their library

I have heard this model can’t say what revision many times
I love line source sound
but this speaker never makes me stay to hear them long
