New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

The Rockets have made it official. They are cleaning house. Lucky team that gets Wall

Rockets are in the midst of a "do over"

Report: John Wall, Rockets working together on trade

The former All-Star point guard averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists in 2020-21 with the Rockets.

Steve Ballmer talks about the Clippers new arena that is planned to open for the 2024-2025 season.

I always liked Staples Center. It was one of the reasons I first bought Clippers season tickets back in 2000. But as third tenant in after the KIngs and Lakers scheduling always worked against the Clippers.

However, this new arena looks fabulous.

it looks beautiful indeed. Best of luck. to them.Only downside is that it's in Inglewood. Whenever I went to the Forum and parked my car there I always said a little prayer after the game that my car would be there when I return

I remember parking at Shea stadium back in the day on the street and paying a local guardian to watch my car. Same deal at the Bulls games at the old Chicago Stadium. At Staples we always parked a couple of blocks east of the arena and had to dodge panhandlers and hot dog vendors going in and out. That's life in the big city.

I will say it was fun to watch the area around Staples change over the years - LA Live was a parking lot and then a hole in the ground at the beginning and then apartment/condo towers sprung up one after another. Helped bring a lot of life to downtown LA.

an interesting read (if you're a Lakers fan). I can't see any chance after this year with a LeBron oriented team. So it's do or die this year

10 key questions: Will experience push updated Lakers to top of West?

L.A. is leaning on a loaded roster of accomplished vets as it enters a pivotal season.

Do you see this new group of veteran Lakers ruling the West?

No !!!

Stay tuned for next question tomorrow. This was question 5 . I guess the answers to the first 4 questions must also be a resounding "NO"

Perhaps similar to 2003-2004 Lakers with Gary Payton and Karl Malone? They did make it to the Finals but then lost to the Pistons 4-1

I remember that well. Payton always played with a tooth pick in his mouth.

I sure hope Ben Simmons finds some peace and happiness and becomes the star of his former self........

Reports: Ben Simmons won't report to 76ers training camp

The 3-time All-Star reportedly is looking to be dealt after spending the last 4 seasons in Philadelphia.

I would have liked that.
I mean trade Kyrie for Simmons :D
But it makes me glad that there are at least some loyal and decent people around, i.e. KD
Harden can do all the shooting that Kyrie did and Simmons can keep on passing to KD. :D

And everybody is happy except for Kyrie :p
And KD because he is loyal ;)

Yes.

One has to wonder why in 2 seasons (1 completely injured), Kyrie's name comes up in 'trade rumors'. :D
