I remain impressed with the Cavs who beat the Wizards last night to find them selves in 6th place in the East one game behind the Bucks. Cavs have already beaten many of the top teams. I wonder if LeBron is having some buyers remorse
I couldn't watch the entire game last night but honestly they are a team going nowhere with a .500 record and finding themselves in the play in spots
But here is a wild stat....in there west only 1.5 games separate there 4th from the 10th spot team
And I am starting to thing that the Wolves are also gaining momentum which I didn't expect, but they too have defeated the Lakers
The Nuggets of late have been losing and suddenly they are now in the 10th spot
The Rockets are also on a bit of a win streak lately as they craw out of the cellar
But the best for last was the Warriors defeating the Suns and ending their 18 game win streak with a lopsided victory asn the Warriors are back in first with a half game lead
'Both conferences top 10 spots are so close that it will be an exciting fan watch as the season unfolds. Im still goin with a Suns -Warriors WC final and a Nets-Bucks EC final however there will be surprises in both conferences because this season in the battle of the giants, the "giants" have been coming upon the short side of there score board.
Its the Bulls in the East that I think can be the Cinderella team but will the clock strike 12 on the Bulls before they reach the finals?
TBH, when the Pels got Zion as well as all of the Lakers young players in the AD trade I expected the Peas would be a dominant team. Zion seems to always be overweight and sitting out for injuries. He has yet to play this year and now look......
Sore foot delays Zion Williamson’s return to Pelicans' practice
Pelicans' star forward, recently cleared for a return to full practices, suffers another setback in an injury rehab that began during the summer.
Soreness in Zion Williamson’s surgically repaired right foot derailed plans for the 2020 All-Star forward to take part in his first full practice of the season on Thursday, team officials said.
Now the plan is to rest the 2019 top overall draft choice for a few days to see if pain subsides, first-year Pelicans coach Willie Green said.
“It’s more important to be patient,” Green said. “We’re talking about somebody’s career. Any time you’re dealing with that aspect of professional sports, that is important. That’s how we’re looking at this.”
The Pelicans have started the season 6-18 without Williamson, who has not played in a game this season but appeared to be closer to returning to action when the club said last week that he had been cleared to participate in full-speed five-on-five drills.
Green said Williamson was “frustrated” by the latest delay.
One has to ask if Zion is not the asset they acquired but has proved a liability since entering the league
and my final thought today is the Ball brothers. Bulls and Lomzo have a better record and a better team however I maintain that younger brother LaMelo is the better player of the "two Balls" and is rising top the Kia MVP ladder
But IMO the best young player in the league is Ja Morant who is keeping his Grizzlies competitive
But the Bulls come from behind to beat the Nets is the story of the night although the Cektics really beat up on the Blazers whose team is in disarray after firing their GM. I wonder how long before they trade Lillard
and the other big upset was the loss by GSW to the lowly Spurs. The race in the West is also one to watch. The two teams (Suns and GSW ) seem evenly matched but I still feel the Suns are faster and have more depth. However the GSW have Steph and soon Klay returns. Klay hasn’t played a game in over 2 years. I feel for him.
