The Grid Protector, the EMI Protector and The Allocator By Schnerzinger-In My System and I’m Blown Away

Puh, that is one of the problems of the brand. I don’t know what they are for or how they might be different than the Grid Protector :-/
A product should be self explanatory of what its usage is, also in relation to the product range.
Arguing IMHO about the unknown is mere speculation and to me "the proof of the pudding.........". Rather choking on your saliva with a "puh", reach out and demo one or all of them. You might be pleasantly surprised. I agree the German manuals are sparse with info but one has to wonder that much of this is proprietary and they are succinct for a reason If you do read the press reviews and more importantly individual reviews apart from mine, I haven't seen any naysayers. As stated, I am neither a reviver or press and I definitely have no vested interest in Schnerzinger and I did pay money out of my pocket to purchase these. Each time I received a demo , spent some time with them in my system and was so gobsmacked with what I a hearing, I am sharing "my" thoughts with the community. If you read this thread you'll see that Luca who lives in Italy and whom I have never met, was as big a naysayer as you and me until he asked for a demo and i'm sure you have read his thoughts. These units, for reasons I really care not as to how they function, are truly system changers. I have never been so engaged with my system as I am now and for me thats all that matters

Question - Would one rather have little to no information with superb results or snake-oil type marketing BS with okay results?

We have all read about the snake oil. Real results speak for themself. Personally, I would care more about something that gives me the goose bumps, immersed in the experience, suck you into the music, a true experience versus a reproductive effort....rather than some marketing BS that prompts you to buy a product, only to find out that it ain't all that.

The results you have read about here on the WBF (as well as other forums) are all from real users. I give those type reviews over......well, I'll shut my mouth now, before I get into a world of hurt.

Well obviously my message didn’t get across as intended. It’s not about having marketing materials BS etc. just providing some very basic data to get an idea what products to choose or how they separate within their product line. Even with the chart above I still don’t know in detail what is the difference between GP and piccolos. And what situation everyone is best used for, how their performance or results differ etc.

Imagine BMW cars just saying we have various cars like 1,3,5,7 and they all have our amazing Giga Canceling. And now you can make up the rest on your own.

My understanding is that there is not a 'demo' available. The options are buy or nothing.

Are you sure? Given the nature of these products and their cost, they surely have to sell by demo.

Answer - In this hobby I would prefer that a manufacturer attempts to baffle me with a far-fetched technical theory rather than treats me with contempt.

From what I know, experienced all Schnerzinger dealers to demos / at home testing

Baffling you with bullsh*t sounds like contempt to me.
Thank you, Tim. I edited my post to read "far-fetched technical theory."

I apologize for being pejorative.

I wish they would have just named the Grid Protector "SnakeOil Platinum". A tinfoil hat shipped with each one.

One man's passion is another man's poison

BTW I assume you own or demoed a Grid for you to make that statement or was it just pulled from your tinfoil hat ;)

I am in my 4th week with my GP. I bought it outright, no demo. I will no doubt get an EMI Protector as well. I am a believer.

I can confirm (read older posts above in this thread) that I was very skeptical. Now I’m a believer too and have ordered also the EMI Protector. And maybe the Allocator early in January.
If you try it you get the proper idea of what it can really bring to your system.

That really is a shame if a few audiofools have spoiled things that way for the dealer. It makes it harder to navigate. I know I won't purchase any tweak without return privileges because too many have not panned out for me, others' experiences aside. Different systems, different ears, etc.

The post you are replying to has been deleted...odd.

I am very curious about this tweak that has Steve so 'blown away!' But, I also find the environment around it somewhat troubling.
1) No information whatsoever as to the domain that the device even operates in.
2) Rather flowery and boilerplate statements on what it does sonically....'it just involves you more...'
3) Questions and curiosity about how the device operates are met with 'darks arts & sciences' replies as well as veiled insults.
4) Why don't you just demo the product is suggested...when there are no demos or returns on offer.

I genuinely respect and appreciate the guidance and advice offered, shared and even debated on WBF. But, this thread has felt...well...different. And, that is disappointing. Furthermore, I feel that the 'it's magic!' defense of products ultimately undermines the credibility of this wonderful site.
