Ok so then if you power it all the time using Power 1 or 2, it is “cleaned” all the time?

I thought I read in the manual that one should NOT consider replacing the wall wart with any other supply. I am not at all interested in doing so. Unless you know and understand with absolute certainty what is going on inside the GP, you are taking chances and guessing on what effect your "improvements" may accomplish. I think it is foolish for an end user to second guess the work the project engineer has done. I never enjoy reading posts from armchair electrical engineers who believe they have something to offer.
Incredibly bizarre post. First, there is no such line in the manual.
Second, if you don’t understand the fundamentals of electricity, but want to learn, just ask.
Third, if you want to continue using a sh~tty, dirty, power source instead of a battery that costs next to nothing - that’s your call.

it does make sense what he said ...I also respect your findings. I will take the road in between and have Gideon reach out to Schnerzinger to get a yes or no. I have plenty of time to try them as I still have no music as my loaner set of Plural Evos are due to arrive in 2 weeks. I also agree with anger about ASR . I will never set foot in that cess pool. I have already heard from another distributor who said that Schnerziner is considering shipping these with batteries.

thanks for the update. I'll verify with Gideon . I truly respect both replies. I agree about wall warts and dont want to go to the added expense of adding several LPS which might also be verboten ....I'll confirm with Gideon and let everyone here know

My battery packs arrived yesterday and I am still waiting for the delivery of my loaner Zellaton Plural Evo speakers arrive as I continue to wait for my Zellaton Reference Ultra speakers ship at the end of June. I did read what aangen posted that Schnerzinger recommended to use only the 12 v wall wart provided by them but I also value the opinion of Zeotrope who said there was a big uptick sonically with these inexpensive battery packs over the wall wart. Im not in any hurry as I have no speakers and almost certainly there might need to be a reset of where my power switches are now on my Schnerzinger boxes (all are at power level ll) with different speakers and quite possibly yet another reset when my Reference Ultra speakers arrive.
Gideon was very helpful and stated the has used these amazing boxes for 14 years without any downside. He alsomis aware of what Schnerzinger has said wrt the supplied 12v wall wart. Bottom line is Schnerzinger is open to using whatever provides the best sound. Zeotrope had been using a LPS without adverse sequelae so why not a DC battery pack. In fact Gideon pointed out to me that the Schnerzinger Piccolo comes supplied with a DC battery pack
So bottom line is it is indeed fine to use the Grid, EMI and Multiguard Master boxes with the DC battery pack without concerns for any adverse or deleterious effects. It never hurts to be cautious and I want to thank both Zeotrope and aangen for making me think this through and get the OK from Gideon to use these very inexpensive battery packs rather than the supplied 12v wall wart. I suppose the irony to the whole thing my be that when we reset the power switch with the Plural Evos and then the Reference Ultra we might find that power setting "0" is the best for my system ....so stay tuned

I do not post any recommendations unless I have researched it and know what I am talking about. But since not everyone does this, I wouldn’t expect others to assume that about me.

I will say that they should be recharged before the LED display on the packs says the pack is low, because like any battery pack, voltage will drop as the packs get empty. This won’t damage anything, but it may affect performance.
What I have noticed is that the white LED on the Schnerzinger units at Power 1 will not illuminate when the battery should be recharged. So that’s when I will recharge.
So far after about 30 hours of use, the batteries show full charge.

If you have the units on all the time and you’ve been posting about this for a week or more how are you figuring 30 hours. Isn’t the battery pack powering the Schnerzinger units whether you’re playing music or not ?
The battery pack has a switch. I turn them off when I’m not using the system.

I thought my bucket list system was essentially complete and had the feeling a final surprise was coming my way before I was done. Enter Schnerzinger, the company that does something without saying how, although I hear the impact.
I got my first impact when Gideon took it out and immediately missed its presence. I was so impressed that I spent $40k on the the Schnerzinger boxes without hearing them—-not my style at all. So with this caveat, will try to describe what I heard. The best world I can use is pleased.
I recently changed my speakers from VSA Ultra 9’s to VSA ultra 7’s ands two Shockwave woofers. The double ribbon ,was the main driving factor.However, removing the Schnerzinger seriously denigrated the sound many ways and immediately!
I am fairly physics oriented,but am at a total loss to explain what I observed, but believe in the Schnerzinger’sand it went with it to finish my quest for my ultra system. The is what I have always done with audio, but this little box with an antenna is throwing me a big curve, because it seems like magic, but that’s what audio does to me and always has, and at this point am used to paying a lot to increase my audio pleasure.
I can’t wait to get my little alien boxes working their magic on my team of ET’s as I continue my search for audio nirvana. Fortunately, used to audio being one of my main sources of pleasure and should blend in
