Wonder Woman eat this… the last royal standing! Love that.

Hey, she's the prototypical feminist. Kicks men's balls on a regular basis, while being the perfect matriarch.

She has grown legendary. When she was a photo of a young queen on my small town country Australia preschool wall she was a mystery, now she has survived a long lifetime exposed by the cruel celebrity X-rays of the modern era she has become someone a bit more real and a bit more extraordinary.

She's like that pair of vintage horns, WEs or Bionors. Maybe unfashionable after a time, but in the final analysis totally substantial and old school quality.
Immense analogue heft in a digital world as solid as Gigahertz æther.

Disagree, you have a role for vintage products in audio today, and I would rather pay for them then current as far as speakers go. However, I absolutely hate any of my taxes going to support the royals. I would rather buy audio

God Ked, you've SO missed the stupid point of my post.
Taxes on the Royals, or taxes on the office of President of the UK...it's still taxes...and you still pay.

Meeting the Queen and having lunch with the Queen mum is still a highlight difficult to match.

Queen Mum? You're showing your age, Howie lol.

Three months wait over as my Nat amps are returned to me. A totally professional service from James of www.decoaudio.com in Aylesbury, Bucks...I can unreservedly recommend him in UK if you need a reliable engineer/repairman.
It always makes a stressful enterprise go smoothly and positively if the contact is quick to return messages and Q's, and a bonus if they don't automatically pick the most expensive options, and not propose unnecessary work. My experience with this transaction.
In the end, a mix of AN standard and copper foil caps, Nichicon KX and Finegold caps.
And a new quad of GE 211 tubes bought earlier this year from Audio Antiquary, biased correctly.
Early success! No exploding tubes or black acrid smoke! Always a positive in my book.
Not gonna make a call on SQ, been informed 100-200 hours needed.
But initial impressions are pretty good, some rounding of notes and overlaid warmth, but aspects of deep bass and treble seem already nicely on song.
What a hobby! Part in the moment satisfaction, part always chasing SQ rainbows.

i think I saw her at lord’s all 5 days she was pretending to enjoy cricket but think she just wanted to be away till amps came back. Thought it looked suspicious as match lasted only three days.

The audiophile journey isn’t just about us, it’s also about the people close to us who support our passions and who we slowly torture along the way  we’ve all been there lol
