I know what you two are thinking but unavoidably you have to blame on the phone that was recording and that software that was being played.
Lately I started to realize that you can use some records that were mastered or remastered to create WOW to spellbound audience. They should have used the AP 45 Belafonte like when Mr.Fremer dj'ed in the AFO demo.

Youtube don't show little micro dynamic, small nuances, micro textures, dimensionality, small stuff that poke at you while listening even when you don't pay attention. That guy was right there standing right behind my right side speaker singing to me. And the piano on the left. Listen to the high keys at the end of the song. There is nothing covering up notes that are vibrating. No warmth smear. Also have to give credit to the vdh Master Sig. It is the most revealing cart imo.

Now that you ask me about B 9, I just realized that I also bought the whole Kreutzer. I often forgot what I have bought...sorry. The Hungarian Rhap also had Kreutzer but only part of it. Anyway, this is my opinion. The B9 tape you buy and you will be happy and not disappoint...excellent sound. I am also happy to have it. Just finished listening to it actually. However, I, Tango,If I may ask, how is the first tape, the Beethoven Violin Sonata 9?

and a superb pressing of the Heifetz Kreutzer from G. I prefer this particular B on my vinyl. Sonically the vinyl only lose out to Ed's tape on surface noise. But Heifetz performance is just untouchable. And the way they recorded are different. From Ed's tape violin is less stand out while I am thinking the piano tend to "offside" (like football) and made me question if it is a Violin Sonata? On contrary Heifetz is more the focus standing out ahead of piano. I like this presentation more. So, my comment is more of a personal preference listening to a violin sonata.

Ked, you amaze me time and again how you can state something as if it was a stone hard factWhen you do eventually find tapes of the legendary performances they are a later generation and poor sounding, not master tapes
