Zero Distortion: Tango Time

I thought it was a Trumpet with a mute. But upon close listen maybe it is sax?

Oh no! I am always eager for what classical treasures Tang posts. I’m not scratching head wondering where drama is at. The only let down for me is when its jazz instead of classical.

Steve brings up an interesting point though. Combining stands wouldn’t be advisable. I’m not sure that Tang did that (are you Steve?), but it is true that it would make neither work correctly.

I have never heard that jazz piece before, but I fast forwarded it some and did think it was some creative trumpet style when I listened briefly and found out it was jazz. I’m not making a dissuading comment here, I heard it on iPhone, just saying my initial reaction. That can be taken for nothing or a small part of something, just one extra data point.

Yes it is on top of the other.

You just had to stab him from the side every chance you got. Face up and stab him in the heart man.

A friend of David.

Hello Tang

Okay...fair question.

...I think that my comment was very direct and upfront.

David’ s unfounded jealously of competing successful small and large shop audio manufacturers is somewhat evident. Why, who knows; apparently, it is not necessary.

David, while developing his new “Uber” $500k TT he took shots at the Zero and reviewer in the Audio Salon thread... David, no need to thank me for the early announcement.

Emile, a well respected and very helpful designer that had just finished a nicely documented trip this side of the ponds visiting Steve, Mike, and Bob. He has many fans of his electronic kits; so much, he has been capacity constrained for some time. Oh btw, as elsewhere in this thread, the platforms in question come with a full-refund policy... try it, if you like it, super...if not, please return for a refund.

Then there are the arc distortions of the 3012, have you moved onto a linear tracker to protect your pristine vinyl? Me, I passed on this tonearm and waiting patiently for my Vyger...delivery scheduled early next year.

David accusing others of snake oil, simply projective identity, me thinks...

Cheers!

whoa David, why are you accusing Marc of projections...there you go again, sigh.

Cheers!

When I enquired w Emile as to efficacy of Daiza here, I was made aware of install compromises that likely would skew the possible success, backed up by Bill's advice. Didn't go ahead. Maybe Tang similarly has a compromised install.

And he’s back from the shadows, still sore from me being wise to your games and stopping you from pulling a fast on me like others? I’m only bantering with Marc and hopefully he can take it but if you insist I’ll post all our exchanges and do to you Alan what you did to Breckmeier. Would be good if you actually contributed to a single discussion in this forum even once, but ahhhh you’re actually deaf. As for my $400k tt, I only wish it was more than one of your fibs.

Oh. Well if Tang likes it, then ok, but Steve is right that it doesn’t make CMS work correctly. The other way around probably would.

I am another one that has an AF1P on a Maxxum rack and I was NOT in love with the sound of the AF1 on the CMS.

I then inserted a Daiza on top of the CMS, under the AF1 and now I like it a lot. YMMV.

Don't take my word for ANY of this, come and hear for yourself.

This thread late direction should go in an all-new Sparring And Boxing sub-forum on WBF.

So, Tang and I were discussing that the forum is getting dull, chatting more and more about sets and horns these days.

So I said dude, why don't you like put up a recording for a tweak, and MAKE SURE you don't do before after to keep it controversial. And Gian was like yeah, bro, and do it on a weekend so that everyone's around. And like, here we are man. Going like a Bollywood action movie with many lead characters and no plot and Tang's song and dance

Bill, can Tang make good use of it in his sound system?

* Off topic: David, you're a direct nice guy, you could do so much more good as I've seen before.

Ha - no I think his Master banned him from all types of mains related conditioning.

Not doubting anything you hear Bob but for me I just would not put the Daiza on top of a CMS rack

Whoa... Quite a party. Don't know where to start. Let's do it this way.

Two days ago I told Folsom off line the reason I bought Daiza was because I will relocate my amps and I want amp stand that is smaller than my CMS to fit the space I have. Daiza can be tailor made the size and it is not expensive so I bought it. Oh..not to forget the French whom I am friend with suggested me. This is how Daiza got into my room. It was not an itch. The CMS also was not an itch. My dealer friend thought I need a good looking rack that compliment the look of my room so he just put them in for me and made me pay. I don't even know if it is has any effect to sound. My equipments were always on the rack. The Stacore was an itch though :). Are we clear now that the Daiza is not in my system for the purpose of tweaking. If someone were to recommend me an amp stand with the exact size of ML3 at $700 I would have considered it too.

Now. I am very curious to know why my Sax tenor sounds like a freakin trumpet. Thanks to David to trigger me to look into this. I will put the Daiza directly to the floor. Then I will video record the sound of my system with and without the Daiza. See if the sax tenor still sounds like a trumpet. If the sound doesn't change then it is something else. Btw any of you notice in my Ben Webster video I obstructed the view of my amps with boxes of Siltech? ;)

Once again I tango at my tempo. Lagonda said I waltz. Well I am not Ked that does Bolliwood quick steps.

Shostakovic Waltz no.2 is excellent by the way.
