High efficiency horn speaker amp question

Look, I'm sure if we ever bumped into each other, we'd have a great conversation about our respective audio journeys over a nice beer. Let's leave it there.

Manis:

Old thread, are you willing to engage with me about your experience with Neurochrome - we could also open a new thread or do this by PM, if you're willing.

I'm curious about Neurochrome's amplifiers, Tom's technical bona fides seem exemplary, even if they don't originate in audio. I'm curious about your path from tubes to a solid state a/b design, not usual with high efficiency horns. I have 89dB rated speakers, so noise won't be the same issue as you'd encounter, but I'm very sensitive to tonal and timbrel "realism." Would you mind sharing your amplifier history? I ask not to invalidate your path, but I'd like to work with and from your experience, with the necessary and hopeful triangulation of preferences and experience.

In advance, thanks.

Larry
