The Uptone Audio EtherRegen audiophile switch

In principle, its configuration is correct. Probably Alex from Uptone can help, although I think that until January 4 is not "operational"

Thanks for sharing, nonesup.

I would appreciate any input here. I have ordered uptone ethergen switch and will be coming soon. I have antipodes CX (server) and S30 (renderer) feeding via USB to my DAC.
Should I place ethergen before CX (i:e ethergen > CX > S30) or in between CX and S30 (i:e CX > ethergen > S30).

As indicated by Uptone CX- ER - SR

Sorry, saw this late. I have connected etheregen between CX and S30. So far I am happy with results. Will try other combinations too and see how they sound different or good.

Hi Everybody.
I have an issue connecting EtherRegen with my LG C9 TV.
It is very strange.
I have connected EtherRegen from router to A port and B to Server. If i connect TV to an A free port it doesn’t work, but if i connect TV (instead of server) on B port it works.
When i reverse B to A Server and TV plays perfectly but SQ decreases..

I don’t understand it.
TV connected directly to router works too.

EtherRegen on my Furutech NCF Booster....
It works so well as horizontally?

As manual say:
Locating the EtherREGEN:
“If the heat of the case bothers you, standing it on edge will permit more airflow and will lower the case temperature by a few degrees.”
I understand it will work as well in that position.

I have tried different combinations of etheregen in chain of CX (server) and S30 (streamer) as well as etheregen A > B side vs B > A side. Uptone mentioned to use it between CX and S30. But of all the combinations, the best I got was etheregen > CX > S30 and going from A > B side on etheregen. I am currently using the suppled power supply. Will try Keces P3 12V to etheregen soon and see how it helps (if at all).

Just ordered an EtherRegen after neglecting my network chain somewhat. Have a Netgear GS305 that I disconnected the LEDs and am using an Acopian Gold LPSU on. Let's hope the EtherRegen is better. Will follow up with a better LPSU and external clock assuming things pan out well.

Did you try staying on the A-side only as well?
Experiences from the Taiko thread showed that going from A to A sounds best.

Well, Taiko's experience was with his Extreme. With a Melco, in my opinion it was better to go from A to B

If they saw the best results with A > A, then it does not make sense from the construction point of view. But having said that, I did try that too, and system was very bright. I hope uptone can pitch in here to clarify, if A > A has any benefits.

That’s because Extreme owners decided it’s best for them to use the ER as an FMC to feed fiber into the Startech card in their Extremes. The Extreme is a very different beast. Just because the ER’s moat didn’t benefit them, really has limited applicability to other servers. It certainly didn’t apply to mine.

I have heard Farad with ER. Worthwhile upgrade . The supplied SMPS is not comparable

A to A was preferred also without using the Extreme and using copper only.
BTW, as pure FMC the Sonore OM seems to be the better sounding device and does not get as hot as the ER.

and also page 176 of this thread.

Why?
Using A to A only the ER works perfectly as a switch. for that it does not need the B-side.
