TriodeFet vs. SET? What are the Sonic Differences?

Try and work on your comprehension son , i did not say all SS amps sound alike ..!

BTW , JH was very correct in what he said, do the experiment , volume match and report how many amps with the same distortion spectra , not clipping sound dis-similar @8ohm ..

We did decades ago it was , err, Surprising ..!

Okay, let's please drop the personal commentary. Just stick to the thread topic.

I didn’t say all SS amps either…whose comprehension needs work?

I knew there was a budding JH in there just waiting to get out. Thx for confirming.

And just so you know, nearly none of them have the same distortion spectrum…even from the same brand.

I cannot comment on the Protos, but I can confirm the Genus sounds absolutely amazing. I am using mine as an end game headphone amp, so you could say I'm not using all of its power, but there is no denying the results. Previously I was using a Viva Egoista 845. My Genus is the 813 tube version.

Having heard both their TriodeFET and SE gear, and now the owner of first their Genus and now their mono blocks, I can honestly say they all have the Aries-Cerat magic and there is not one "better". Just different degrees of Aries-Cerat.
