The rocket ship adapter is quite nice. I wouldn’t call it a flavor. It is marginal, like a cable. Grounding it is same, another incremental cleanliness. I would recommend the adapter, though. I have other good ones, but it is noticeably better. Also, I like the idea of supporting DIY of fellow WBF Horizon owners.

I can’t wait to visit Melbourne and have Ian pick me up in his LamborghinI Now that’s what I call fellow WBF Horizon owner support.

The only other kudo is that when you find that special set that checks all of the boxes, keep your mouth shut until you find the same set as back up because if you don’t two things will happen
1. The price of the tube will triple overnight
2. You waited too long and the tube is gone

I'm curious- with respect to your extra tall adapter from Ian, does it have different parts inside as compared to your shorter version, or is it the same except that you had Ian add height for a particular reason?

Mine are both the shorter version you and others have pictured.

No . The shorter one has only a wave path resistor whereas the taller one has the Wavepath and I think a Dueland or some other resistor....so 2 resistors

The resistors are very long, thus necessitating the long tube and great height.

Thanks. I thought there was only one "ultimate" version adapter from Ian that works with both 2504 an 2004. Has he already come out with a newer, even more ultimate version? I bought two of the shorter versions and I've only had them two weeks. Things move fast here in this Lampi tube/adapter world

Which “shorter version” did you buy?

My two as well as all of the ones Ian is making function fine with the G2504 and RGN 2004

Outer Diameter: 42mm
Inner Diameter: 40mm
