Tang,
Is that one of two subs that will be added into the system?
Yes one of two front loaded horns
Tang,
Is that one of two subs that will be added into the system?
The front of this front loaded horn IS showed on the picture, not the rear.
Is it some optical reflection? I can see a curved closed glossy back facing us
What frequency do they come in at
27hz. So from 27hz till about 110hz. So we not talking about subs.. ;-)
Now I know why mine is not here yet.Maybe on this picture from the left FLH you can see a bit of the shape of the horn outlet. Look at the plastic foil down under.

Epic!Yes one of two front loaded hornssubs, only the right one is showed on the pic.
Yes they are active with seperated amps, not built in.Yes I am aware they were FLH not subs. Are they active with a built in amp?
Yes that's right, it's an access hole for the drivers. It's covered with a 2 inch plate where also the terminals for the drivers are located. Can also be seen at the picture below.Ya that is a bit of an optical illusion isn't it.
The "cables" part you mention Ked looks slightly big for a plate amplifier, it may just be an access hole for the driver.
I can't let Micro tease me how sub-optimal my Studer runs.
Today my tape head assembly is sent to New Jersey to replace the worn out Studer head with the FLUX Magnetic one. John French will be taking care of my Studer together with Nick Doshi. Once the new head is back I will have to recalibrate my Doshi pre. And Yes I bought the calibration tape as you suggested Professor.

When Nick was here he was mentioning of the head too but too polite too say and there seemed to be some gas left in the tank. Then I consulted him again last week he said the head was showing signs of wear and low high frequency response. Worn out is speculation until John French inspect and rule it sir.You won Master Tang- my modest Studer A80 no1 only had the standard heads relapped by John French, the no2 has new butterfly heads, still not burned-in. Why do you say that the heads were worn-out?
