Yup. Just got a Pacific…. Haha. It changed everything. It is the best dac for my system by far amongst the many I have heard. If the Horizon is better, and i have no reason to think otherwise, it is emdgame for me. In terms of timing, I wanted to get in on the unprecedented and extremely generous 100% MSRP trade-in before Lampizator ends that deal or comes to their senses

I was fortunate enough to baby-sit Michael's Horizon for a week when M was on holidays

and while some feel videos are a waist
there not entirely true there are many audio ques to be understood. your bud M is a very big deal in confirming my own thoughts

A friend has asked if it’s possible to order different colors of the top plate that the tubes rest on? They want to know how easy it would be to say buy 3 different covers and change them out to best match equipment over time.

I would think changing the top would be a PITA? Ask Lukasz. My suggestion is pick a color and live with it.

I would think the top is mounted from within the chassis from the underside of the top plate?

Lukasz changed my top plate when he visited. He shipped it with painted copper top rather than real copper as there was a supply chain shortage of copper. He received the copper after my unit was shipped but he brought the real copper top with him. Took him about 15 minutes to change the tops. It’s done by removing the screws from the Horizon footers to release the under frame. not something I would want to attempt myself

That's not something I would like to attempt either. I figured it would have to be approached from the bottom. Steve, my tubes started arriving, The Tak came yesterday, (wow) all the others will come Monday. Now I just need the Horizon! BTW what power cable are folks using on the Horizon?

I use Masterbuilt Ultra power cords on my Horizon and my Extreme. In fact Use MB Ultra throughout my system

I also use MB Ultra USB to go from Extreme to the Horizon

Finally for isolation I use all Center Stage CS2M 1.5" footers under my Horizon and Extreme

I thought the packaging on the Takatsuki was about as artistic as anything I have ever seen. That bamboo box and the silk inlay was over the top. It sounds even better than it looks
