Agreed. Now that the update is optimized and ready for the masses, the last iteration from today is truly magical. Fasten the seat belts.
Yes, but it depends on what dac one will be using which will determine which usb they will be using. I do not believe it's just usb6, it's the last iteration and your dac happens to be matched with usb6.Usb 6: harmonic richness is unbelievable
OH GEEEZZZZZ GO TO BED I'M SO HAPPY WITH THE ROON INTERFACE AND THE SOUND. I don't even want to hear if TAS sounds better. It doesn't matter:0)Last minute I managed to boost TAS sound quality to be more competitive again. I’ll leave comparisons for those who feel like it.
We have decided to make Roon the default on system startup. To use TAS you will have to launch the TAS remote and switch to TAS.
As we have integrated a part of TAS into the new USB driver, being of obvious mayor benefit to Roon, you will have to set TAS buffers to Auto or it will not play. See the attached screenshot.

I respect your decision to not divulge how you were able to boost Roon’s sound quality. What has baffled me was that TAS didn’t scale to the same level that Roon did. Except for the inclusion of LMS, TAS was optimized for great sound quality. Roon was not. Anything you might be able to divulge about what was either holding back TAS or what it was about Roon that better positioned it for a bigger gain? And like I said, I would absolutely respect you declining to answer.Last minute I managed to boost TAS sound quality to be more competitive again. I’ll leave comparisons for those who feel like it.

@Emile, @Taiko Audio wondering if some of this marvelous OS upgrade can be applied to EVO.
Look forward to your advice. Cheers.

Go Emile Go! I just had the picture of the magnificent header by Robin van Persie against the Spanish Team in the 2014 World Cup come to mind. Where Robin did one in the game of 90 minutes (ok actually two), Emile is doing 20 in an hour!!First hour report, 20 extremes updated, 3 minutes on average, not bad at all, 5 minute coffee break!
